In June 2021, Greg Fay and Annie Stubeck married in Warwick, N.Y. Michael Hessemer and LaurenMcDonald (a College of New Jersey graduate) also married in June, with many Lehigh soccer and lacrosse alumni in attendance. In September 2020, Ted Smith and his wife, Ryan (Ingalls) Smith ’09, welcomed their little girl, CadenWyatt Smith, into the world. In January 2021, Ellyn (McFadden) Enderlin and husband Pete welcomed their second son, Tyler Jacob Enderlin. They say Tyler is an easy baby and their 4-year-old son, Winnie, is already a great older brother. InMarch 2021, Megan (Hess) Haley and Jonathan Haley ’09 gave birth to Finn. In June 2021, Lindsay (Shinbaum) Sprachman, husband Dave and big brother Mason (age 3) welcomed Cole Sawyer Sprachman. In July 2021, David Lavenson, proud momTricia, big sisters Norah and Gemma, and big brother Grahamwelcomed Caleb Lavenson. James Kadar and Helena Sullivan announce the birth of Alexander James Kadar. Carly (Bradley) Gigl is married with two children and is working as a principal at a charter school. Liz (Snell) Robinson married in 2013 and has two children, who are 2 and 5 years old. Alexandra (Fehring) Schickli married Eric Schickli in November 2014. They gave birth to Ansel in December 2018, and currently live in Cincinnati. In 2016, Brandon Heller and Elizabeth Nouri Heller married. They gave birth to James Reily Heller in May 2018, and to Jesse Michael Heller in September 2019. Nicole Falcone and Patrick Starsinic ’04, who started dating in college, married in 2015. They have two children: Paige (age 4) and Samuel (age 2). Nicole runs her own storytelling agency called Gather&Create (gather create.com), which specializes in telling stories about schools and students—clients range from Stanford University to charter and public K-12 schools across the country. In 2019, Nicole published a collection of poetry on motherhood called “Sitting Together by the River in the Sunshine” (available on Amazon and in PA bookstores). Pat is an internal medicine physician. He worked at UPMC Pinnacle for the past five years as a hospitalist. Soon they are all moving to the Lehigh Valley, where Pat will work at St. Luke’s. Luke Ranieri is applying his degrees in geological sciences, musical experience, military pilot training, and knowledge of modern and ancient languages into his ideal career as a content creator (LukeRanieri.com). InMarch 2021, Anna Orchard became the inaugural director of Exeter UNESCOCity of Literature in England, U.K. Meanwhile, my family and I left Poland this summer and are now also living in the U.K. I took on a teaching position at the Defence Studies Department of King’s College London. They have been living in Los Angeles but finally got married at the TWA hotel at JFKAirport. Ted Boyer welcomed their first baby boy onMarch 12, and the baby is doing fantastic! Congratulations to Bess Rowen, who has a published book! Alan Abeel has been living in Kourou, French Guiana, all fall for the JamesWebb Space Telescope launch campaign. As noted by Alan, “It has been a really awesome experience representing NASA at the Guiana Space Centre and interfacing with the European Space Agency and Arianespace. We’re set to launch (finally) on December 18!” Congratulations to Jordan Smith ’10 and Corey Luthringer, who welcomed a baby boy, CallumReed, on June 1. Longtime Class President Jack Meehan and wife Deb (Binko) Meehan ’11 welcomed baby boy Charlie into the world on April 30, 2021! He went to his first Lehigh-Laf tailgate in 2021 and looks forward to applying for the Class of 2043 admission. Ashley (Torcivia) Emanuelson and husband Steve welcomed their first baby girl, Lucille Katherine Emanuelson, on August 24, 2021. Emily (Becker) Pevtsov and husband Aleksandr welcomed their second baby, Sydney, in September. Danielle Gallo Hutchinson and Pete Hutchinson ’09 welcomed a baby girl in April of 2021. John Lalomio and his family welcomed their second born, Otis John Lalomio, on November 6, 2021. The family recently moved to the Twin Cities area in Minnesota as well! My longtimeMechE lab partner, Scott Mastroianni, was married in September to Casey. Lehigh was well-represented at the wedding, including in the bridal party, and by Scott’s father and other members of the Class of 1980. The couple honeymooned in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Mozambique. Scott was also recently promoted to sales team leader at Trane Technologies North Jersey, working on driving the HVAC industry toward energy-efficient building solutions and decarbonization.
