Check out Lehigh’s website for more details; the weekend is currently scheduled for June 9-12. As for class updates: Victoria Shiebler Lewis got married to Craig Lewis in September of 2021 inNewHampshire. They live together in Shrewsbury, Mass., with their dog, Champlin, where Victoria works for Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Steve Wallis and Adrienne Viola welcomed a baby in summer 2021, and John Owen and Jenny (Jones) Owen welcomed a third bundle of joy to their lives. Alex Gromadzki and his wife made the craziness of the pandemic more intense by the arrival of a little boy, Leo, in August. A fun fact: Alex and his son don’t share any citizenship yet (his son so far has British and Italian passports—never thought he would have a British baby)! Alex is working from home and discovering the joys and difficulties of managing a young baby and a job. He hopes he can make it to our reunion without looking like a zombie. He sends lots of love to the Lehigh family! Rachel Senker got married in October to Andrew Gentile, who is a director of strategy and transactions at EY. Rachel started a new job at Amazon in their newHQ2 office in Arlington, Va., so after living in Boston for five years, the two bought a new house in Rockville, Md. Congratulations all—see you in June! ’13Bea Dizon, 203524-4659, beadizn@gmail.com Hi all. Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season, and is ready to take on 2022! First is a personal update fromme, Leah: I began a doctorate of education in leadership and learning in organizations at Vanderbilt University in August. Soon after I started, I realized one of my classmates from Lehigh, Lauren (Jacobson) Bartholomae, was a year ahead of me in the program! Lauren and I both majored in global studies and got our master’s in globalization and educational change (in 2015) at Lehigh, so we will soon be adding our third shared degree to the wall (Lauren in 2023 and Leah in 2024). Below is a bit about what Lauren has been up to! Lauren was a Teach for America corps member and worked in the most diverse school withinMetro Nashville Public Schools teaching seventh grade science, social studies, math and language support. She specialized in using STEM initiatives to overcome language barriers with their high population of English as a Second Language (ESL) students. She now coaches teachers and performs intervention for lowest-level English language learners as an ESL specialist for Norfolk Public Schools in Norfolk, Va. Lauren got married in early 2020 and started at Vanderbilt the same year. Feel free to email either of us anytime (Leah at leahpaulson22@gmail.com or Mike at michaelronan214@gmail. com). We love hearing fromyou! ’15KerryMallett, kerryamallett@ gmail.com It’s been a busy end of 2021 for the Class of 2015! David Gordon received an Emmy for Outstanding Studio Show for his work on ESPN’s SportsCenter! Olivia Hodina and Eric Glynn ’16 got married on September 6, 2021, at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, R.I. Olivia said that it was so lovely to be surrounded by many Lehigh friends who attended! Maggie Boyle and Tim Moulton celebrated their wedding in November alongside many Lehigh friends. They met while living in M&M freshman year. I hope everyone has a healthy newyear! I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Reunion 2022. ’16Rachel Sholder, rachelsholder@ gmail.com I hope everyone is doing well. I was back on campus for the Lehigh-Lafayette game with Katherine Fletcher and Samantha Kay. It felt great to be back! In September, I attended the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Del., and on my way into the festival one day, Sanjana Chintalapudi ’17 and Alli Rubin ’18 happened to be right behind me. Random Lehigh alumni run-ins are always a blast. In terms of work news, I worked on an exciting project recently as the only female fault management systems engineer on NASA’s first planetary defense mission DART, performing software tests to make sure that all of the systems work correctly together in flight. DART launched on November 24, 2021, via a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Led by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, the DART impactor spacecraft will literally crash into an asteroid in late September 2022 to see if that is an effective way to change its course should an Earth-threatening asteroid be discovered in the future. This will be the first time that humans change the trajectory of a celestial object. Bhavishya Devireddy is a pediatric resident at Valley Children’s Hospital. After graduating from Lehigh, she had a year off to tutor for the SAT and then attended medical school at Touro University in California. She visited campus recently with Saran Kunaprayoon ’17 and Suraj Pursnani ’17, who are also first-year residents pursuing general surgery and urology, respectively. 6 8 | L E H I G H B U L L E T I N
