Jason Stanford, Senior Computing Consultant, earned “JAMF certified expert” certification status. Leadership Lois Black, Director of Library Special Collections, was elected to a 3-year term on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Consortium of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL). Andrew Januszak, Senior Analyst, joined REN-ISAC’s Peer Assessment Team and is using the experience to help improve our security posture. Maccabee Levine, Senior Library Application Developer, led two subgroups as a member of the FOLIO Technical Council. Maccabee was also elected to serve as a committer for the VuFind project. Chulin Meng, Director of Library Technology, was elected to serve as the Councilor At-Large on the American Library Association (ALA) Council, the governing body of ALA. Chulin was also appointed to the ALA Information Technology Advisory Committee, which advises the Association and the ALA Chief Information Technology Officer on the priorities and strategies of the ALA technology products and services. Boaz Nadav-Manes, University Librarian, was elected to serve a second term on the FOLIO Community Council. He was appointed by the Eastern Academic Scholars’ Trust Board to serve as Treasurer, and is currently serving as the President of PALCI (Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation). He is the Convener of the LVAIC Library Deans and Directors group and the Controlled Digital Lending Secretariat group. Boaz is also on the Project ReShare Steering Committee, and serves as co-PI and member of the Steering Committee for the IMLS funded Collaborative Collections Lifecycle Project. Greg Reihman, Vice Provost for Library and Technology Services, was named chair of the Investment Committee and joined the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of KINBER, a Pennsylvania-wide non-profit organization com mitted to working with communities, governments, - businesses, and schools to advance digital equity and inclusion. Elizabeth Young Miller, Social Sciences Librarian, serves on the Membership Committee of the Anthropology and Sociology (ANSS) section of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and in that capacity, she co-hosted a dine-around event at the ACRL conference in March 2023 and held a virtual social in July 2023. Elizabeth also serves on ProQuest’s TDM Studio Advisory Board and the LVAIC Information Literacy Planning Committee. SPOT BONUS AWARDS 17 LTS staff members received a Spot Bonus Award in 2022-2023. These are awarded to staff members who have contributed significantly to attaining a discrete and ambitious goal or task above and beyond what is expected.
