PAGE 30 LIBRARY AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES - - - 8 Our Staff Awards Stacey Alderfer, Senior Systems Engineer, Chris Creswell, Senior Analyst, and John Troiano, Senior Analyst, received a Tradition of Excellence Award for the implementation of LUapps in Amazon Web Services Appstream. Denise Campion, Client Support Manager, received a Tradition of Excellence Award for her significant efforts towards the environment monitoring project at Zoellner Arts Center. Dan Huang, Resource Acquisitions Manager, Maccabee Levine, Senior Library Application Developer, and Boaz Nadav-Manes, University Librarian, were runners-up for the Sage Innovators Award at the Electronic Resources & Libraries 2023 Annual Conference for their submission, “Modernizing the Monograph Purchase: Moving from Paper Slips to the ‘Purchase Request Platform.’” Lending Services received a Tradition of Excellence Award for maintaining consistent on-site technical and research service during the COVID pandemic, while applying great flexibility among staff changes, and seamlessly transitioning to a new open-source Inter-Library Loan system. Billy Morris, Computing Consultant, received a Tradition of Excellence Award for providing outstand ing technical and personable contributions to the Athletics Department. Mark Scott, Manager and Business Data Librarian, won the Louis & Helen Zirkel Library Staff Award, established to recognize an outstanding perfor mance or service delivered by a staff member of the university libraries. Certifications Chris Creswell, Senior Analyst, attained the GIAC Public Cloud Security (GPCS) certification, issued by Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC). This validates a practitioner’s ability to secure the cloud in both public and multi-cloud environments. Scott Jones, Information Security Analyst, attained the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certi fication issued by Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC). Steven Lichak, Senior Media Production Specialist, successfully completed the 24 month recency of aeronautical knowledge requirement (currency) for a part 107 remote pilot with a sUAS rating.
