He worked as a product engineer, stockbroker and art gallery owner. John R. Linderman ’59, Gaithersburg, Md., Feb. 5, 2026. Linderman served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot and aviator. He worked for United Airlines for 33 years, retiring as captain. His child, Laura (Linderman) Barker ’95, and grandchildren Emily Linderman ’19 and Garrett Linderman ’20 are members of the Lehigh family. His great-great-grandfather was Asa Packer. Bayer was a member of Phi Kappa Theta and the track and cross-country teams. He worked in freight car manufacturing management.
