Heineman ’49, Silver Spring, Md., Jan. 17, 2026. Heineman was a civilian employee for the Naval Air System Command. 1950s Victor R. Daub Jr. ’50, Tucson, Ariz., Jan. 9, 2026. Daub was a member of the soccer team. He worked for DuPont Chemical and Hughes Aircraft companies. He was a member of the South Mountain and Tower societies. Herbert K. Schnall ’50, San Diego, Calif., Feb. 23, 2026. Schnall was a member of Tau Delta Phi and The Brown and White. He made his career in book and magazine publishing, and as a certified public accountant. His child, Linda Schnall Singer, is a member of the Class of 1977. Harold R. Berlin Jr. ’51, North Chesterfield, Va., Feb. 7, 2026. Berlin was a member of the Mustard and Cheese Society, Glee Club, track and cross-country teams, and Beta Theta Pi. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for Reynolds Metals Company for 31 years in sales, marketing and management. Robert J. Jacobs ’51, San Francisco, Calif., March 15, 2025. Jacobs was a member of the Marching 97. His child, Fern Jacobs, is a member of the Class of 1981. William H. Olischar ’51, Livingston, N.J., June 3, 2025. A veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Korea and Vietnam, Olischar worked for Prudential Insurance Company, retiring as the vice president of information services. Gill Seal ’51, Reisterstown, Md., Feb. 9, 2026. A member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and a veteran of the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War, Seal worked for American Cyanamid Company for 38 years, retiring as VP of operations. His child, Mark Seal ’86, is a member of the Lehigh family. Jack Vanderryn ’51 M.S.’52 Ph.D.’55, Bethesda, Md., April 17, 2026. Vanderryn was a member of Tau Delta Phi and the tennis team. He taught chemistry, worked in several energy-focused federal agencies and ran a family foundation. He was a member of the Asa Packer and Tower societies. Walter B. Anderson ’52, Bristol, Conn., Feb. 5, 2026. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Anderson had a diverse career in steel, die casting, alloys and electromagnetic water treatment systems. Elwood R. Tschopp ’52, Norwalk, Conn., Jan. 6, 2026. Tschopp was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked with Edwards and Co. Harold J. Wissmann ’52, Phoenix, Ariz., July 22, 2025. Wissmann was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi and the South Mountain Society. Charles J. Bodenstab ’53, San Juan Island, Wash., Jan. 18, 2026. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Bodenstab worked in early computer technology and in C-suite roles. He also wrote two books on business and inventory management. His child, Jeffrey Bodenstab ’77, and grandchildren, Jennifer Bodenstab ’08 and Kelsey Bodenstab ’10, are members of the Lehigh family. Richard B. Margerison ’53 MS’55, Florham Park, N.J., March 23, 2026. A member of Delta Tau Delta, Margerison worked for Ciba-Geigy, earning many patents. His sibling, Albert Margerison ’51, and children, Lee Margerison ’80 and J. Elizabeth Margerison ’82, are members of the Lehigh family. Milton H. Osborn Jr. ’53, Savannah, Ga., Jan. 3, 2026. A member of Theta Xi and the track team, Osborn retired as the director of employee benefits from General Motors. Ernest E. Angino ’54, Lawrence, Kan., Feb. 19, 2026. Angino was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi. A veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Korean War, he was a professor of geology at the University of Kansas focused on Antarctica. Peter Dietz ’54, Thornton, Pa., March 6, 2026. Dietz was a Kappa Sigma member. Following a career in plastics molding and welding, he owned and operated Pete’s Peanuts. His sibling, Joseph Dietz, was also a member of the Class of 1954. Ralph Thomas ’54, Hockessin, Del., Feb. 15, 2026. Thomas was a member of the Marching 97. He served in the U.S. Army Chemical Corps, and worked for Gulf Oil and Astra Zeneca. He served Lehigh as a non-trustee committee member on the Board of Trustees. Fred O. Armstrong ’55, Neptune, N.J., Feb. 27, 2026. An Alpha Sigma Phi member, Armstrong worked as an engineer in Bell Labs. David P. Finger ’55, Lebanon, Pa., March 9, 2026. Finger was a member of the Mustard and Cheese Society and Theta Delta Chi. He made a 30-year career with Bethlehem Steel before becoming a property manager and co-owner of Blue Mountain Building Stone Inc. James L. Kline ’55, North Chili, N.Y., April 20, 2026. Kline was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for Corning Glass and Lapp Insulator Company. He was a member of the Brown and White Society. Reeder was a member of Delta Phi and the golf team. He served in the U.S. Air National Guard. He established A&E Building Products and worked as a manufacturing representative. Jacque R.
