She was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At Lehigh, she served as a student mentor for the Lehigh University Student Scholars Institute and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. She held leadership roles in the Dominican Culture Club, Engineers Without Borders, and the Global Social Impact Fellowship, where she did high-impact work in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines.
