Congratulations to all our classmates! In July 2019, the four began attending the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design to pursue master of architecture degrees. They recently graduated in spring of 2022. Elizabeth enjoyed the program’s fexibility, which allowed her to explore her interests through a variety of electives. She got to take classes from diferent design departments, including the landscape, environmental building design and Ph.D. programs. She liked how professors focused their studios around a common theme, such as housing, so she could choose a professor who aligned with her interests. Elizabeth started working at KSS Architects in Philadelphia, where she interned for the past two summers. Elizabeth has enjoyed making new friendships among the Lehigh alumni in Philadelphia. Julie received the ecological architecture certifcate and agrees that Penn pushed her to explore more of her interests. In addition to discovering her passion for sustainability, she learned how important the storytelling aspect of design is. Julie was able to visit Mexico City during the spring to travel to the location of her studio project, giving her a new and valuable perspective on the project and city. Upon graduating, Julie moved to New York City to start working at an interior architecture frm, ICRAVE. The frm specializes in hospitality and experimental design. Hadi and Elizabeth both like living in Philadelphia because it is small but always has something going on. One thing that Hadi took away from his experience at Penn is to never lose grasp of why and who he is designing for. Building for the people and for the environment always comes frst. It was a very inspiring atmosphere for Hadi to be surrounded by colleagues and professors who were like-minded in their aspirations and unique in their application. Hadi was nominated to speak at the commencement ceremony. Hadi and Dario have started working at HDR as design coordinators in the Pennington, N.J., ofce. They will continue living in Philadelphia. Sidney Boty graduated from Lehigh as a psychology major. After graduation, Sidney went to Temple University’s Physician Assistant School. In August 2022, Sidney completed her master of science degree. She is studying for her board exams and hopes to work in the OB— GYN feld. She remains living in Philadelphia and is the proud owner of a cat named Leo. Benjamin (Ben aka Benny aka Benny P) Piraneo graduated from Lehigh with a B.S. in biology.
