CLASS NOTES | SPRING 2023 | 69 LUAA Board of Directors, as a trustee of the university and representing in several affinity groups. Thanks for everything, Safiya! Please welcome Jessica DeSantis-Berg as your new correspondent. She can be reached at jessicadesantisberg@yahoo.com. ’04 Lloyd Henderson, lloydjr04@gmail. com A big congrats to Diana Torres-Bixby. She recently started a new position as executive vice president, earned media lead at Salutem, a Daniel J. Edelman Company. If you have any updates, please send them my way. Till next time. ’05 Jessi (Schimmel) McMullan, jessi.mcmullan@alum.lehigh. edu The highlight of the second half of 2022 for my family was a trip to Puerto Rico to celebrate Nur-e Rahman’s ’04 wedding to James Freedman. We made the most of the week, starting with celebrating our daughter, Claire’s, third birthday with cupcakes on the beach. We got the whole family involved, as it so happened that my inlaw’s 50th wedding anniversary was the day before the wedding and they had also honeymooned in Puerto Rico, so we brought them along to re-create some memories (and built-in babysitters! Thanks, Nanny and Poppy!). The Bengali-Puerto Rican-Jewish-Muslim wedding weekend started with the mehndi and haldi and culminated in the best party I’ve been to in a looong time. From the secret Bollywood flash mob to the most stunning sunset ceremony, I was so happy to get to celebrate great friends (including Maureen Wink and Rupi Kullar ’04) and show my kids, who have come of age in the COVID world, how much there is to learn about and explore in this world. And now, we’re starting to see the 40th birthday celebrations roll by. Send me a note about what wonderful things you are doing to celebrate our next decade. ’06 Editor’s note: To share your news or if you would be interested in becoming your class’s correspondent, reaching out to classmates and writing a column three times a year, please contact the Alumni Office at 610-758-3069 or classnotes@lehigh.edu. ’07 Brian Roth, lehighclassof2007 @gmail.com My wife, Francesca (Murasko-Blank) Roth, and I were delighted to welcome our third daughter, Morgan, this past August. Annette completes our family and joins her brother Lochlan.” Gwendolyn (Ferdinand) Adair added another little Lehigh tot to their family—Madison James Adair, born Aug. 3, 2022. Special pride that Madison and her older sibling also proudly rocked the same Lehigh onesie, regardless of their dad’s Lafayette alum status. Gwen is now a regional clinical nurse manager for Summit Health in New Jersey and credits her education from the business school at Lehigh in providing the foundations needed for her current role and career in clinical leadership. Matt Brenton and Samara (Resnick) Brenton welcomed Wesley Reid Brenton in November 2021, so they just celebrated his big 1-year birthday, and the family looks forward to bringing him and his big sister, Elle (3-1/2), to Lehigh-Lafayette next year. Nicki Hunter Schwab and Mike Schwab welcomed another boy, Wesley Michael Schwab, on Oct. 1, 2022. He joins brother Peter, and the family is doing great! Also, congratulations to Stephen Wentz and Katherine Rumbaugh Wentz, who welcomed their baby girl, Nelly Blair Wentz, on July 21, 2022. And finally, Amanda (Baranowski) Fairchild recently married Eric Hohenwarter, of Strasburg, Pa., on Friday, June 10, 2022, in Lancaster, Pa. They currently reside in Lower Nazareth, Pa. Their blended family consists of Amanda’s twin boys, Dominic and Aiden Fairchild, both 6, and her stepdaughter, Francesca “Frankie” Hohenwarter, 5. Amanda has been working as a territory business manager for Biogen under the multiple sclerosis portfolio for two and a half years. Great to hear from so many of you, and I can’t wait to hear about all of the wonderful things going on for the Class of 2009 in the future! ’10 Nick Anderson, Nick.Anderson@ alum.lehigh.edu Happy New Year!
