Alumni Bulletin Spring 24

CLASS NOTES | SPRING 2024 | 63 Year’s Day 2022, and one of her bridesmaids was her Delta Zeta sister Beth (Duncan) McDevitt! But wait, there’s more! Cailín is also working on her doctorate in higher education leadership. Cailín, keep knocking it out of the park! Staying local, Jamie Lynch and Alane (Pastore) Lynch met freshman year in Stevens Hall and have now been married for over 30 years, living just outside Allentown. Their youngest daughter, Grace, is a senior at James Madison. James and Alane had the pleasure in October of watching their older daughter Kate get married in Packer Memorial Church with a reception at Hotel Bethlehem. Brett Skolnik and John Stitt ’91, who were in the elder Lynches’ wedding party, attended the celebration. Jamie and Brett have fished for striped bass or played golf every fall for more than 20 years. This year, Dave Siwinski joined in the fun, along with Jerry Stocker ’89 and Phil Shih ’87. The Lynches are also in regular contact with Jim Nassivera, Jimmy Kan and Joe Daly, key members of Kappa Alpha’s 1987 Greek Week Air Band winners. They also hear frequently from Bob Sadaty, another member of the Library Crowd, who is an accomplished angler in Florida. Jamie also wanted to give a shout-out to “our Class of ’90 Facebook Kappa Alpha brothers Ron Herbert, Brian Korn, Stu Pauley, Stu Jara ’91, Rich Fleiss ’89 and Steve Lee.” Finally, we’re writing our update just after Lehigh-Lafayette 2023. Forget the score of the football game. Class of ’90 represented! Seen inside or outside of Goodman Stadium were Kimberly (Schwartz) Berkowitz, Kristin (Franchina) Layne, Barbara (Yingling) Lewis, all at a multi-class AOPi tailgate. Lambda Chi also chopped it up strong with the likes of Bill Ross, John Lee, Marc Layne, Dave “Rusty” Sievers, Eric Wertz, Tom Ferrara and Tom Neff, along with honorary guest Mark Patten. Tell us if we missed you! ’91GUEST COLUMNIST: Andrea (Wiesel) Weissman, andreaweissman@hotmail.com I am filling in for Diana (Zoller) Perkins, who is currently living in Tel Aviv. Diana writes, “Thanks to everyone for your love and support during the war. We are taking it day by day and trying to live as normal a life as we can, given the circumstances. I’ve restarted my psychotherapy practice and have been helping out at Brothers and Sisters for Israel, brothersandsisters forisrael.org/.” I just returned from Lehigh-Lafayette, where I tailgated with alumni and students, including my daughter, Lindsay, a Lehigh sophomore.
