In 1981, he was named National Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. He was awarded the Deming Lewis Award in 2001. Dr. Daniels was a professor with Lehigh University’s Department of Civil Engineering for nearly 30 years, as well as operated a private forensic structural engineering consulting practice. Mr. Christensen worked for Dixie Cup Products. He was also affiliated with Purdue University for his work in advanced statistical methods. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Seaman retired after more than 35 years as an educator, curriculum coordinator, coach and assistant principal in the Bethlehem Area and the Saucon Valley school districts. Kenneth A. Sletvold M.A. ’72, Allentown, Pa., Jan. 20, 2023. Mr. Sletvold was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He taught physics at Emmaus High School for over 30 years. Robert I. He was also a pioneer of the drilling of natural gas and use of CNG vehicles. Samuel J. Dolgopol M.Ed. ’75, Lehighton, Pa., April 26, 2023. Dr. Dolgopol was a principal and supervisor of special classes at Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21. He also worked at Palmerton Area High School before retiring after 32 years in education, and he continued working as a behavioral psychologist through his private practice until retirement. Mr. Snyder worked for Bell Labs for decades on the first compact discs and the fiber optic link.
