Robert D. Youngentob ’82, Bethesda, Md., Oct. 18, 2025. A Sigma Nu member, Youngentob was the founder and executive chairman of EYA, LLC. Allysa Scott Gatti ’83, Haddon Heights, N.J., March 2, 2026. Gatti was a founding member of Delta Gamma and the editor-in-chief of the Epitome. She had a 45-year career in the insurance industry, including 35 years with AAA South Jersey. Todd A. Koch ’83, Richland Township, Pa., March 11, 2026. Koch worked as a land surveyor for R.L. Showalter and Associates. He played for the U.S. National Men’s Field Hockey team. Robert E. Leggon ’83, Stratford, Wis., March 31, 2026. A member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Leggon was an orthopedic surgeon. Vincent T. Roche ’84, Media, Pa., Feb. 3, 2026. Roche was a member of Delta Phi. A member of Alpha Gamma Delta, Runkle was the president of Reunion Sportswear. Her spouse, Scott Runkle, is a member of the Class of 1988. David M. Best ’88, West Palm Beach, Fla., Jan. 26, 2026. Best ran his own college consultancy. He was a class correspondent for over 10 years. 1990s James R. Beilstein Jr. ’90, Westerville, Ohio, Jan. 26, 2026. A member of the swim team, Beilstein worked as the vice president of global operations and supply chain for Owens Corning. He served on both the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering Dean’s advisory boards. His parent, James Beilstein ’60, and spouse, Kathleen (Barber) Beilstein ’90, are members of the Lehigh family. Waid worked for FICO as chief product and technology officer. He was a member of the Parents’ Council and the Asa Packer Society. His child, Marcus Waid, is a member of the Class of 2029. Jeffrey S. (Florey) Lease M.Ed.’60, Bethlehem, Pa., Jan. 9, 2026. Lease taught elementary school in the Bethlehem Area School District for 30 years. John R. Sopko M.Ed.’60, Bethlehem, Pa., Jan. 6, 2026. Sopko taught in the Rockaway and Bethlehem Area school districts, as well as served as coordinator of instructional material services for the Colonial Northampton IU 20. John W. Elek MS’61, Macungie, Pa., Dec. 21, 2025. Elek was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Bell Labs for 30 years. His child, Douglas Elek MBA’86, is a member of the Lehigh family. Russell H. Roper M.Ed.’61, Wind Gap, Pa., Dec. 25, 2025. Roper was an educator and superintendent of Pen Argyl Area School District. Glenn L. Warmkessel M.Ed.’61, Palm City, Fla., Jan. 16, 2026. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Warmkessel taught, coached and was an administrator in the Bethlehem Area School District. Thomas W. Blackton Jr. MA’62, Bath, Pa., Jan. 12, 2026. Blackton taught English and social studies, and coached numerous sports, before becoming an elementary school principal. Gerald J. Ratchford MS’62, Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 18, 2025. Ratchford was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from IBM after a 30-year career. He taught economics, engineering and calculus at UNCC.
