BuchananM.A. ’73, York, S.C., Sept. 15, 2021. Mr. Buchanan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves. He taught in various schools in the Trenton area. He retired from Mercer County College as full professor emeritus, where he led the aviation program. Paul J. McCormick Ed.D. ’73, Stanton Station, N.J., Dec. 9, 2021. Dr. McCormick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a teacher of English, department chair and supervisor at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. In addition, he was a visiting instructor at Rutgers and SetonHall universities, and co-author of “Adventures in English Literature,” a widely used high school and community college textbook. She trained to be a lay leader in the church working for social justice. This led her to develop and present workshops on “Discovering Your Gifts of Ministry.” Mary (Trepke) Duft M.Ed. ’80, Pawleys Island, S.C., Nov. 2, 2021. Ms. Duft worked as a fashion stylist for Seventeen magazine before becoming a junior high school teacher. James R. BaranMBA ’81, Hazleton, Pa., Oct. 20, 2021. Mr. Baran worked for Lehigh Service & Supply before acquiring the business in 1992 and renaming it Lehigh Tire Company. He would manage the family business for over three decades. Michael A. Mr. Zwikl served as a state representative for Allentown for 10 years; as president of the Allentown Economic Development Corp., where he was responsible for major development projects, including the ArtsWalk, PPL Center Plaza and Portland Place; and as president of the Allentown School District Foundation.
