43 Small City Housing • Feature • Connection Mark and I are two theater makers who create work with and for different communities —but Mark Tidwell’s idea of “sacred partnering*” kicked off a whole new frame for us! Our practice has always centered on relational organizing that focused on transformation with an intention of moving audiences towards justice and joy. We are now starting to use this frame of “sacred partnering” in how we talk about our engagement work. The stories we have been hearing have inspired us to start working on a new play! I remember Mark meeting you and describing you as a fireball of faith and joy embodied. Your loving vision for a housing future where all under heaven have a safe home is contagious. When we met, I thought, “Whoa! We can do this. If more people could feel Abby’s energy and experience this vision, a beautiful housing future would be possible!”
