108 AARON K. ADAMS graduated with highest honors from Lehigh University in 2020 with a B.A. in political science. Additionally, during his senior year he completed a thesis on the topic of nationalism to obtain an honors distinction in his major. Aaron was inducted into the National Political Science Honor Society as a sophomore and led Lehigh’s chapter as president in his junior and senior years. He also was active in organizing and participating in debates on campus. Aaron’s most recent position was as intern to Judge Douglas G. Reichley at the Lehigh County Court, where he conducted legal research and drafted memoranda that served as the basis for written opinions. Aaron currently is pursuing his J.D. at Georgetown Law. RACHEL BUONASORA will graduate with highest honors from Lehigh University in December 2020 with a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering and a B.S. in the Integrated Business and Engineering honors program with a concentration in finance. While at Lehigh, Rachel was a head teaching assistant for Applied Engineering Computer Methods. She participated in the Engineers Without Borders chapter, serving as vice president and promoting accessibility to clean drinking water in Central America. During the summer of 2018, Rachel participated in an Iacocca Internship in Kosovo, where she worked at a network engineering company. After completing her dual degrees as a President’s Scholar, Rachel will work as an advisory analyst at Deloitte. JAKE I. COOPER graduated with highest honors from Lehigh University in 2020 with a B.A. in history and a B.A. in political science. During his time at Lehigh, Jake served as a teaching assistant for Law 101 and received a minor in business. During the summers of 2019 and 2020, Jake interned with Gerstman Schwartz LLP/Gotham Government Relations & Communications, a general litigation and political lobbying firm. There, Jake conducted legal research and drafted legal memoranda for a range of cases. Additionally, Jake closely participated on a regular basis in political lobbying activities at New York City Hall. Jake currently is pursuing his J.D. as a Dean’s Scholar at the Boston University School of Law. HA DAO graduated from Lehigh University in 2020 with a B.S. in finance and business information systems. Ha was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society and served as the co- president for the Investment Management Group. In the summer of 2019, Ha interned at StartX— the Stanford University–affiliated start-up community—rotating through several positions, from fund analyst to sales associate. Ha currently is working as a business consultant at Ernst & Young in New York. XIAMING JIN graduated with highest honors from Lehigh University in 2020 with a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering and a B.S. in the Integrated Business and Engineering honors program, with a concentration in economics and with minors in data science and music. At Lehigh, she was a treasurer in the Outing Club, chemistry tutor for the Center of Academic Success, and pianist in the Lehigh Philharmonic Orchestra. Xiaming participated in the Lehigh in Ireland program, working as consultant for the Galway Music Sessions in the summer of 2017, and she interned as financial analyst at the Penske Corporation in the summer of 2019. Xiaming currently is pursuing a Master of Business Analytics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. KEVELIS MATTHEWS-ALVARADO graduated with high honors from Lehigh University in 2020 with a B.A. in Africana studies and in health, medicine, and society and with minors in philosophy and in Latino American and Latino studies. At Lehigh, Kevelis was president of the Black Student Union, resident assistant, staff member at the Pride Center, Student Scholars Institute guide for first-generation students, and teaching assistant for Lehigh’s hip-hop theater class. During her time at Lehigh, Kevelis received a myriad of honors, including the Change Agent Award, Class of 1904 Award, Williams Prize, Allegiance Award, and Bosey Reiter Leadership Cup. Currently, Kevelis is a President’s Scholar at Lehigh, pursuing her M.A. in English and applying to Ph.D. programs in Africana studies/black studies. CONTRIBUTORS
