PRE-TERM ORIENTATION A one week pre-term orientation designed around the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) annual Job outlook survey that identifies the top attributes employers seek on applicants’ resumes. You will discover what behaviors are effective in a fast-paced, changing world and workplace, learn how to use your voice and leadership to get more done faster and better with less, through comprehensive communication and presentation skills works terview, and LinkedIn workshops. Exposure to business executives and alumni for networking enable you to identify career opportunities. Team building activities, Introduction to Case Study and lectures round out the experience. NINE MONTHS AND TWO ACADEMIC SEMESTERS Course work focuses on the core areas of business management such as accounting, finance, statistics, management, economics and marketing. Graduate faculty use lecture, case studies and classroom discussion, with the program culminating in a capstone course that ties together all the learning and concepts with a hands-on business simulation. EXECUTIVE PRESENCE AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Central to M 2 is the focus on intentional and continual exposure to personal and professional development. Beginning with an intense array of professional development programs and job search workshops during orientation, topics are enhanced and developed over the semesters by Career Services including on-site Career Trek visits to East Coast business centers such as New York and Philadelphia. UNIQUE AND EXPANDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT As enhancements to professional development, optional experiential learning opportunities may be offered (subject to availability). These include business trips that enable you to meet with C-Suite individuals from some of the world’s leading international companies and highly visible small business consultancy projects through Pennsylvania’s number one Small Business Development Center.
