Trumbore served as a rector for Christ Episcopal Church. His father, Frederick Trumbore ’25, sons, Mark Trumbore ’85 and Peter Trumbore ’86, and daughter-in-law, Kimberly (Sullivan) Trumbore ’89, are members of the Lehigh family. He served in a parochial capacity in several congregations in the Diocese of Newark and was a hospital chaplain. W. Keith Atkins ’57, Ashland, Ore., Jan. 26, 2022. Mr. Cresswell was a Delta Phi brother andmember of Tau Beta Pi honor society. He had a long career as an aerospace engineer with General Electric Company and later with LockheedMartin Corporation. His father, Herbert Cresswell, was a member of the Class of 1927. Lawrence W. Dye ’57, Port Orange, Fla., June 18, 2022. A Pi Kappa Alpha brother, Mr. Dye worked for the family insurance agency. He went on to own and lead several other agencies and insurance advisory councils. He was a volunteer frefghter and was Allegany County Fireman of the Year in 2002. William B. Pennebaker ’57, Burlington, Vt., Sept. 8, 2021. A Delta Chi brother, Dr. Pennebaker was one of the vanguard researchers on videoconferencing with IBM. He holds over 35 patents and published more than 50 papers. Frederick W. Roeder ’57, Hawthorne, N.J., June 22, 2022. Major General Roeder was a Pi Kappa Alpha brother and a Glee Club member. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for decades. He retired as the executive director of the Foundation for the Handicapped and was frst chair violin in the N.J. Allstate Orchestra. His children, Jefrey Roeder ’83 and Christopher Roeder ’89, are members of the Lehigh family. Austin E. Short ’57, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Aug. 3, 2022. Mr. Short was a football and lacrosse teammember, as well as president of Sigma Nu fraternity. He spent over 30 years working with IBM, retiring as the vice president of employment solutions. He volunteered with his class, as well as the Athletics Partnership as an alumnus. His father, Paul Short ’43, was a member of the Lehigh family. Harold T. Smallwood ’57, Collegeville, Pa., Aug. 2, 2022. Mr. Smallwood was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a product development engineer and paint chemist. Arthur G. Tritsch Jr. ’57, Lewisburg, Pa., July 24, 2022. Mr. Tritsch was amember of the Glee Club andMarching 97. He made his career in plant engineering andmanagement at U.S. Steel. His son, Timothy Tritsch, is amember of the Class of 1985. Harvey E. Wagner ’57, Incline Village, Nev., March 9, 2022. Mr. Wagner was a Tau Delta Phi brother, as well as a member of the Marching 97 and several honor societies. He founded Teknekron Corporation, which developed and incubated emerging technologies in computer science. He endowed the Harvey E. Wagner Chair Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and was a member of the Tower Society. Curts Cooke ’58, Glen Rock, N.J., July 10, 2022. A Kappa Sigma brother, Mr. Cooke served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired fromRuss Berrie & Company as its president and COO. His son, Albert Cooke ’82, and grandson, Ryan Cooke ’15, are members of the Lehigh family. He was a member of the Tower Society. Kenneth V. Graves ’58, Wrentham, Mass., July 20, 2022. Mr. Graves retired as the president of Gibson-Graves Company Inc. He was amember of the Asa Packer and Tower societies. His grandchild, Devon Poe, is amember of the Class of 2019. Charles D. Hartshorne ’58, Telford, Pa., April 18, 2022. An Alpha Chi Rho brother, Mr. Hartshorne served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Merck Sharp & Dohme for over 30 years, starting in engineering and working as a governmental liaison. W. Bruce Weaver ’58, Bethlehem, Pa., July 1, 2022. After retiring fromBethlehem Steel Corporation in the real estate department as an engineer-surveyor, Mr. Weaver helped Memorial Park and Nisky Hill cemeteries in the same capacity. Maurice J. Christatos ’59, New York, N.Y., July 3, 2022. A Phi Kappa Theta brother and football teammember, Lieutenant Colonel Christatos retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after 30 years of service. After years in brokerage frms, he formed his own hedge fund. Robert R. Gardner ’59, Horseshoe Bay, Texas, July 7, 2022. Mr. Gardner was a brother and president of Sigma Chi. He retired as vice president and treasurer of Allendale Insurance/FMGlobal. Alfred W. Glauner ’59, Concord, N.H., Jan. 25, 2021. Mr. Glauner was a chemical engineer who went on to become the vice president and general counsel for The Badger Engineering and Construction Company. Joseph V. Montville ’59, Arlington, Va., June 1, 2022. Amember of the Marching 97 and a Phi Kappa Theta brother, Mr. Montville spent 23 years as a diplomat in the Middle East and North Africa. He was the director of the Abrahamic Family Reunion, the Esalen Institute project to promote Muslim-Christian-Jewish reconciliation. He coined the term “track-two diplomacy.” 1960s Thomas R. Little ’60, Guilford, Conn., June 7, 2022. Mr. Little served in the U.S. Army before joining Waterbury Buckle and Tag Company as a designer. Charles W. Marsh Jr. ’60, Allentown, Pa., May 4, 2022. A veteran of the U.S. military in the Korean Confict, Mr. Marsh worked for 32 years at Bethlehem Steel Corp. in the data processing section. Robert W. Dombal ’61, Masaquan, N.J., Aug. 3, 2022. Mr. Dombal was a Phi Kappa Theta brother and a track team member. He made his career as a commercial real estate appraiser. He was a member of the Tower Society. William L. Kugler ’61, Louisville, Ky., Aug. 20, 2022. A Chi Phi brother, Mr. Kugler had a varied engineering career, retiring from Lantech as vice president of the technical services group.
