Older sisters Jordyn and Ella couldn’t be more excited and are taking great care of her. I was excited to see that our fellow classmates are hosting a new home remodeling show. Make sure you check out Chris LaMont and Calvin LaMont’s show “Buy It or Build It” on HGTV (Check Spotlight). Matt McBride joined One Financial Services as an associate wealth adviser following his professional MLB career, which ended in 2019. ’08Olivier Lewis, olivier.lewis@alum. lehigh.edu The Class of 2008 has been busy bringing love, life, knowledge and prosperity into the world. In May 2022, Jennifer Gonzalez married John Visconi. In December 2021, Sarah Silverio and Jacob Wood married in a small ceremony in their NYC apartment. For this very special day, Sarah’s father ofciated. In June 2021, Thomas Viscuso Jr. and Kaylee Knauss, who married in 2015, welcomed Bennett Thomas Viscuso to the world, following their frst child, Elliot Elizabeth Viscuso, born in January 2017. In September 2021, Matt Shelosky and his wife, Jamie, welcomed their daughter, Elliott Rae. In November 2021, Deborah Ou-Yang gave birth to baby boy Jordan. Liam O’Connor had his second child this year. In April 2022, Christie (Jephson) Nicas and her husband, Brian Nicas, welcomed daughter Charlotte Nicas. She joins older brothers Casey (age 2) and Connor (age 5) as potential future Mountain Hawks! Maternal grandparents Linda (Sommer) Jephson ’81 and John Jephson ’81 are Lehigh alums, along with many other family members. Christie was promoted to director of marketing at Trifecta Technologies, a technology consulting agency based in Allentown, Pa. Sara DeGroot and her husband, Sean Tucker, are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Isabel Tucker-DeGroot, also born in April 2022. InMay 2022, Dr. Jamie C. Wohlhagen and Dr. Ryan P. Emptage welcomed their second child, Michael Henry Emptage, weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces. (Check out the cute baby in the Celebrations section). Jamie is in her 10th year of practice at Delaware Ophthalmology Consultants, specializing in pediatrics and strabismus. She also serves on the Delaware Board for Vision to Learn and completed her term as alumni association president of Archmere Academy. Jamie, Ryan, Julie and Michael reside inWilmington, Del. Calvin John Smiley Ph.D. received tenure and promotion to associate professor in the Sociology Department of Hunter College-City University of New York, where he had previously been an assistant professor from 2016 to 2022. Anna Orchard is now the executive director of Exeter UNESCO City of Literature in the United Kingdom. In early 2022, she took it from a project within the city and turned it into a nonproft and independent organization. Danielle Palencar is now senior art director at Terrain. And Whitney Pryor recently joined Microsoft as principal corporate counsel for Cloud + AI. Jennifer (Fetsick) Vadino, Shannon (Lockwood) Long and Kerry McLaughlin had a classmate gathering in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Here we go! Sarah Miller Neser and her husband welcomed their frst child, Emmett, in October 2021. She also started a new position as an endocrinology nurse practitioner at Veterans Afairs in Baltimore. Leah Nash and Greg Alvarez ’08 welcomed daughter Margot, who was born on Jan. 6, 2022. Her big brother, Kurt, is enjoying his new role! They also moved to BrynMawr, Pa., in June 2020 after 11 years in D.C. Allison (Smith) Traub and her husband, Jonathan, welcomed their second child, Avri Jaye, in April 2022. Eli (2) loves his new role as big brother to his baby sister! Allie Keen Thacker and her husband, Andrew, welcomed their fourth child, Wyatt, in February 2022. He joins older siblings Luke (7), Aiden (5) and Clara (2). Amanda Daddona welcomed her frst baby, Cassandra Daddona, onMay 16, 2022, and was promoted to senior associate registrar atWesleyanUniversity. Great update from Kyle Dunleavy (as per the usual): He reports that, last year, he “fnished one of my goals (visiting each of the 50 states).” He is “working remotely as a corporate recruiter (and loving it) for a company based in California but living back in central New Jersey. It was so great seeing a number of you at our 10-year reunion back in June! Being back on Old South Mountain certainly brought a certain nostalgia that I will not be able to describe in words here. But, if you haven’t been back in a while, I highly recommend it! Here are some updates from the lives of some of your classmates: In baby news, Bari (Mogil) Polay and her husband, Adam, welcomed their second child, daughter Sage Kendall Polay, on June 26. Jolene (Gordon) Scheiner and husband Kyle also welcomed their second child, daughter Charlotte Rose Scheiner, on July 5. Martha (Durant) Rossi and Michael Rossi ’11 welcomed their second child, John Michael (Jack) Rossi, on April 29. They also celebrated the wedding of Tracy Sartorius to Daniel Orbach on June 3. OnMarch 22, 2022, Brook Blythe and husband Max Herman ’11 welcomed a baby daughter, Willow Blythe Herman (future class of ’44), to the world!
