20-21 LTS Annual Report

"Adaptability, flexibility, inclusivity, and accessibility are increasingly important features of teaching, learning, and working at a university. With these goals in mind, LTS is committed to enhancing the ways Lehigh creates, shares, and uses data, information, and scholarly works; promoting the adoption of high-impact pedagogies, inclusive teaching, and experiential learning; advocating for investments in technical infrastructure, library resources, and staffing; and partnering with the faculty, students, and staff who rely on us for expertise and support." "LTS will continue enhancing our support for teaching, learning, research and university business operations. That will mean upgrading technology on campus, enhancing the use of the cloud for software delivery, modernizing work processes, and providing data and analytics for Lehigh's key strategic initiatives. We look forward to partnering with the faculty, students, and staff who integrate new technologies into their academic and professional work." "We in the Lehigh Libraries act daily on our committment to becoming an anti-racist organization. As we increase our programming, expand our services, and operate at the forefront of open source, community based, library software development, we do so through partnerships that prioritize inclusivity and care. We are thrilled to contribute to Lehigh’s proud tradition of innovation, action, and social accountability. " "Successful work at Lehigh will increasingly require new combinations of on-campus, hybrid, and remote activity. LTS is committed to creating the new spaces that will enable new forms of learning and working, while also supporting the strategic, fiscally-responsible provisioning of the technological, academic, and scholarly resources that Lehigh will need to meet its academic goals." "Sixty three percent of all ransomware attacks last year targeted the education sector. Lehigh has been fortunate to avoid a significant incident but moving forward we need to strengthen our security systems and take additional steps toward becoming a community in which all people and all offices work together to protect university data and student information."
