Meredith Constable, Library Coordinator, and Eric Luhrs, Digital Access Librarian, presented “Building Networks, Growing Community, and Effective Communications: Experiences from Lehigh University’s Student Library Advisory Board” during the 2024 Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Delaware Valley Spring Conference, Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA. Keith Erekson, Systems Architect, and Andrew Januszak, Senior Systems Engineer, presented “Building Canaries with ELK and ElastAlert” at ShmooCon 2024 in Washington, D.C. Erica Gluszynski, Assistant Director of Enterprise Systems, and Jim Wagner, Senior Project Specialist, presented at the Pennsylvania Banner Users Group Conference on the LIRA project and how to integrate Huron Grants with Banner Finance. Daniel Huang-Talbot, Acquisitions Librarian, and Brian Simboli, Science, Mathematics, and Psychology Librarian, submitted a poster titled “OPAC Americana: Creating a Data Standard for Monograph Data Import & Analysis” to the Electronic Resources and Libraries conference. The poster argued for the need to stan dardize and consolidate metadata that facilitates selec tion and purchasing of monographs via the automated transmission of that information into library systems. Maccabee Levine, Senior Library Application Developer, moderated “SIGs and Slack: A Panel Discussion on Participating in the FOLIO Community” at the annual FOLIO Mid-Atlantic User Group meeting. Maccabee also presented a lightning talk “Bound-with Titles in FOLIO and VuFind” and a poster presentation “Building an open source single-search discovery implementation” at Code4Lib 2024. Steve Lewis, Manager of Endpoint Engineering, led a preLUsion program (LehighMED) that provided 16 stu dents with an intensive three-day look into local hos pitals and ambulance services. The program included hands-on training experiences led by doctors from St. Luke’s University Health Network, including Lehigh University alumni physicians. Lisa McColl, Metadata Services Manager, presented “BIBFRAME at the Doorstep” at the annual FOLIO MidAtlantic Users Group meeting held at Villanova University. Jim Monek, Director of Technology, Infrastructure & Operations, presented “Lessons Learned from a Data Center Incident” at Data Center World 2024. Boaz Nadav-Manes, Lehigh University Librarian, presented and served on panels in several nationwide conferences and was interviewed twice on the Charleston-Hub podcast regarding the innovative work at Lehigh Libraries. Jason Stanford, Senior Computing Consultant, co-presented “Squirrel! 2.0 How to be and Work With Neurodivergent’s in IT” on the topic of neurodiversity, accommodation, and supervisor strategies at the 2024 Penn State MacAdmins Conference. John Zekind, Data Strategist, presented “DBeaver: A SQL Swiss Army Knife” at the Pennsylvania Banner Users Group Conference (PABUG) in Harrisburg, PA.
