They provide psychotherapy virtually to people all over the world and see people locally at their office in the Lehigh Valley. And finally, Sumona reports that “we have moved to Amsterdam with our two boys (6 and 9), and after being a public company CHRO (chief human resource officer) for a few years, I’ve started my own firm, idealis, helping leaders to lead with humanity at work and in their workplaces. It’s been a wild ride!” Best of luck to Sumona and Jenny with their new ventures! I hope to see many of you at Lehigh-Lafayette this fall. Thomas J. Viscuso Jr., married to Kaylee Lauren Knauss in July 2015, shares the news of their children’s births: Elliot Elizabeth Viscuso, in January 2017, and Bennett Thomas Viscuso, in June 2021. Christie (Jephson) Nicas announces that Charlotte Nicas was born in April 2022, joining older brothers Connor and Casey. Christie recently joined Argano as marketing director of their SAP tower, where she collaborates daily with several fellow Lehigh alumni. In September 2022, Andie Snyder and her husband Adam were joined by Cassie. And in November 2022, Nicole Falcone and Patrick Starsinic (’08) welcomed their third child, Mae Ruby Starsinic. Earlier this year, Kim (Leidy) Wright wrote, saying “My husband Tom and I welcomed our daughter Hana Wright, born February 9, 2023.” And in July 2023, Jennifer Gonzalez welcomed Theo Phillip Visconi to the world. Jeffrey Minnich and Amy Agnello, married since March 2022, welcomed their first daughter, Eloise Sabella Minnich, in June 2023. Jeff heads the Americas Structured Equity Financing desk at Goldman Sachs. Jeff, Amy, and Eloise currently reside in Hoboken, N.J. They enjoy traveling to their house in Montauk, N.Y, especially in the summer. On the career front, Josh Senior shares the exciting news that he recently served as executive producer for the excellent television series The Bear. Elizabeth (Hopkins) Stanley, who married Sean Stanley in 2017, obtained her doctorate of nursing practice (DNP). Congratulations, Elizabeth! She lives in South Carolina. Amye (Lee) Rheault, tells us that “After a few years at home with our children, I’m now flexing my small business skills as operations manager and lead coordinator with Capitol Romance Weddings.” Nina Granberry recently completed her first year of teaching at Brooklyn Tech High School, a specialized high school in Brooklyn, N.Y., and one of the top schools in the country. This is her 15th year in the Department of Education. She is also working in real estate. She writes: “I’m involved in real estate as a buy and hold investor and short term and midterm rental operator. I launched my short-term rental business in February ’23 with two units in downtown Cincinnati and have seen good success. Some highlights are housing a traveling nurse from Alabama and an intern from the Cincinnati Opera House.” I hope these positive stories will bring some joy to your day. Special congratulations to Ashley Pritchard who married Roopak Kandasamy in early May. They went back to the place they first met to exchange their vows—a cenote in Playa del Carmen! While Roopak is not a Lehigh grad himself, he does understand the responsibility, and was on the dance floor at their wedding when Lehigh’s “Beat Duke” song played. Also, congrats to Emily Bussiere who was married to Benji Taylor. Jarrett Novack is working in Central Florida developing a residential resort condominium neighborhood around a racetrack for high-end motorsports enthusiasts. As he notes, it’s a “perfect place to house your exotic street car or purpose built racecar, with no worries about getting speeding tickets!” Andrew Scharkss was recently honored as an FSIG, which ranks him as one of the highest Eagle scouts for the Boy Scouts of America conference held at the Hotel California. Andrew Kent and Laura (Diers) Kent would like to add that they welcomed a son named Owen on December 16. Martha Miller and Tom Humplik ’08 welcomed baby girl Zuzana Miller Humplik on June 30. She couldn’t wait to join the world, and arrived five weeks early, but is doing great! Those are all of the updates I have this time. In baby news, Jordan Giallanzo, and wife Geri welcomed their son and future Lehigh graduate, Luke James Giallanzo! Mom and baby (who’s 8 months old at time of writing and growing like a beanstalk!) are both doing well. And in March, James Fredette and wife Vera welcomed a baby girl, Estella. In wedding news, Ilya Khazen married Jennifer Paradise on June 12. Brooke Eby was featured on the Today show and interviewed by Savannah Guthrie to talk about her ALS diagnosis. You can find the video of the interview on Today.com. In addition to her feature on Today, Brooke raised over $200,000 in fundraising in just two weeks for ALS awareness month! Jessica (Bandy) Maloney just finished her first year as assistant professor of photography and design at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C. Finally, a little update from me.
