Business Beyond the Classroom Students in the College of Business have many opportunities to collaborate with our distinguished faculty on real-world, relevant business issues, accessing and contributing to our body of research. As a complement to the scholarly activities of academic departments, our business centers provide rich opportunities to learn beyond the classroom and move knowledge forward for all. Center for Financial Services The Center for Financial Services (CFS) seeks to bridge theory and practice to promote a collaborative exchange of ideas on critical issues affecting the financial services. Center for Supply Chain Research By leveraging Lehigh’s faculty, students, alumni and industry partners, the Center brings the latest developments in research and best practices together to generate new ideas for education and future knowledge in the field of supply chain management. Murray H. Goodman Center for Real Estate The Goodman Center promotes real estate studies in a variety of ways, including scholarly research, engagement with practitioners in the real estate field, and undergraduate courses in real estate and real estate finance. Martindale Center for the Study of Private Enterprise The Center engages students, faculty and the business community in active inquiry tackling questions central to understanding and fostering sustainable private enterprises and inclusive economic systems throughout the world. Dexter F. Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship Serves as the hub for entrepreneurial activity at Lehigh by supporting the University’s existing cross-disciplinary programs. Philip Rauch Center for Business Communication The Rauch Center supports students as they develop the rhetorical awareness and skills necessary to navigate any communication challenge, including writing and oral presentation in varied contexts. Financial Services Lab The Financial Services Laboratory (FSL) serves as the vehicle for understanding, creating, and employing financial data and software. Undergraduate and graduate students and faculty from across the campus use the FSL to gain a better understanding of the financial world through the meeting of theory, practice, and research. Small Business Development Center The Lehigh University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides consulting services and educational programs to entrepreneurs wanting to start or grow a small business. The SBDC hires undergraduates as SBDC Scholars to work as consultants. 7
