Welcome to Lehigh Business

Lehigh Silicon Valley Lehigh Silicon Valley takes you to the San Francisco Bay Area: the hub of entrepreneurship that spawns countless new enterprises with their breakthrough technologies, next-generation software, and trend-setting social media. Students meet with experts, tour spaces, and begin to learn how to apply these lessons within their own entrepreneurial journey. Startup Academy The College of Business and the Lehigh@Nasdaq Center launched Startup Academy in the summer of 2018. This unique, 10-week internship program gives students the opportunity to learn about the entrepreneurial process by immersing themselves in the innovation ecosystem of San Francisco, as they experience the messy, exciting realities of a startup. In addition to the internship, students engage in a one-credit course as a cohort, enabling them to put classroom knowledge into action in real-world business environments while expanding their skill sets and professional relationships. Lehigh-Led Programs Lehigh University faculty or staff lead programs for one to ten weeks over winter and summer breaks. Many of these programs (Lehigh in Belgium, Lehigh in Ireland, Lehigh Business: Study and Intern in Milan, and the Global Immersion) include classes for Lehigh credit taught by the business school faculty, and some of these programs also offer internships. Students can participate in short-term programs starting in the winter of their first year. Tauck Scholars The Tauck Scholars Program, endowed by Arthur Tauck, ‘53, provides an opportunity for business students to participate in an international internship or other international educational experience during the summer once they have reached Junior standing. This scholarship program enables each Tauck Scholar to apply for an international internship program that best meets their interests and career goals. Iacocca International Internships This global summer internship program for Lehigh students includes international co-ops, research experiences, and internships or cohort internships. These are led by a Lehigh faculty member who matches Lehigh students with their peers from another country to work as a team on a common problem facing a multinational corporation. Experiential Learning allows students to have a tangible impact in the world and prompts students to think about where their experiences and classroom learning together might lead in their careers. Students are challenged to take advantage of on-campus and off-campus opportunities to gain experience through internships, class projects, research, clubs, study abroad, and leadership opportunities.
