Our faculty and graduate students pursue first-rate historical scholarship concerned with all regions of the world and a variety of historical periods. The overall emphasis of research in the Department is on transnational history. Students are invited to participate actively in the research culture of the Department, including through participation in the Department Seminar, where faculty and graduate students meet regularly to discuss work in progress by both Lehigh historians and visiting historians from all over the world.
