Ph.D. students typically complete the program in 5–7 years. Outcomes/Careers In recent years, Ph.D. candidates have achieved significant success, publishing in leading academic journals and producing book versions of their dissertations. Many have secured tenure-track academic positions, while others have taken roles in community colleges and independent high schools. Additionally, many have pursued careers in public history, obtaining positions in government or the private sector.
