As a student in the department of mathematics, you may choose to pursue research in these areas: Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Algebraic Topology, Analysis, Applied and Computational Mathematics, Differential Geometry, Mathematical Biology, Number Theory, Partial Differential Equations, Probability, and Statistics. Outcomes/Careers Graduates go on to successful careers in academia, business, finance, education, engineering, government, and medical sciences.
