A Theta Xi member, Wiedemeier worked for Caloric in sales. Harry Bloodsworth III ’55, Tallahassee, Fla., Jan. 11, 2024. Bloodsworth made his career in the metallurgy industry. Stanley H. Drucker ’55, White Plains, N.Y., July 28, 2023. A Sigma Alpha Mu member, Drucker was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He owned two sporting goods stores and Murray’s Uniform. Phillip A. Chiusano ’56, West Chester, Pa., March 29, 2024. A member of the baseball team and Phi Sigma Kappa, Chiusano served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean Conflict. He built tract homes in New Jersey with Chiusano, Inc. His child, Elisa Marie (Chiusano) Steingruebner, is a member of the Class of 1991. Louis A. Cianciulli ’56, Uxbridge, Mass., Feb. 28, 2024. Cianciulli was a member of Sigma Chi and the Marching 97. He spent 35 years as an employee of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, first in performance engineering and later as director in marketing. Matthew Gorry ’56, Laguna Beach, Calif., Feb. 18, 2024. A Psi Upsilon member, Gorry worked in many engineering roles, including cofounding an electroplating company, Fluor Corp., petrochemicals and for the space program. Leigh M. Holt ’56, Round Rock, Texas, Jan. 23, 2024. A Pi Kappa Alpha member, Holt was a career Air Force member. His second career was as an analyst at Texas Education Agency in the Proprietary Schools and Veterans Education department. His children, L. Mark Holt ’82, Craig Holt ’84 and Scott Holt ’87, are members of the Lehigh family. Albert E. Kleiza Jr. ’56, Fairlawn, Ohio, April 26, 2024. Kleiza was a member of the basketball team. He worked at Babcox and Wilcox as a project manager. Gilbert R. McKown ’56, Annandale, N.J., July 9, 2023. McKown was a Sigma Phi member. Arthur J. Roth ’56, Center Valley, Pa., April 16, 2024. Roth was the editor-in-chief of The Brown and White, as well as a member of the Mustard & Cheese Society. He spent 31 years with Bethlehem Steel Corp., retiring as the manager of public relations. Ronald W. Swanson ’56, Mystic, Conn., Dec. 28, 2023. A Delta Sigma Phi member, Holt worked in the oil industry before becoming a certified financial planner and finance professor. James C. White ’56, Osprey, Fla., April 7, 2024. A member of the baseball team and Sigma Nu, White served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He worked for Bethlehem Steel as a field supervisor on the construction of the Homer Research Laboratory, which is now the Lehigh University Mountaintop Campus. He went on to own Kuss Brothers Nursery. He volunteered with his class for many years, serving as treasurer and reunion chair. He was awarded the Joseph J. Persa ’48 Award and Alumni Award for his dedication. William F. Harms ’57, Bloomfield, Conn., Feb. 20, 2024. Harms made his career in the aircraft industry, conducting flight test programs, and retiring as product liability technical liaison engineer for the legal department at United Technologies and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. John P. Petraglia ’57, Greensboro, N.C., Dec. 23, 2023. A veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, Petraglia entered the Loop Course with Bethlehem Steel Corp., finishing his career as superintendent in the Drop Forge Division. Willis S. Shelton ’57, San Antonio, Texas, Feb. 7, 2024. Shelton was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force in Korea. He worked as a geophysicist and high school science teacher. Hale Smith ’57, Greenport West, N.Y., Feb. 27, 2024. A Delta Tau Delta member, Smith made his career in sales. John F. Campbell ’58, Naples, Fla., Feb. 9, 2024. Campbell was a member of Psi Upsilon. His grandchild, Elizabeth Campbell, is a member of the Class of 2013. James S. Davidson ’58, Houston, Texas, Feb. 21, 2024. Davidson was a member of Alpha Tau Omega and the Mustard & Cheese Society. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he worked for Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. and went on to own several industrial compressor sales businesses. His sibling, Charles Davidson, is a member of the Class of 1962. Alexander Grindlay ’58, Montrose, Colo., March 3, 2024. Grindlay retired as a computer scientist from the Department of the Navy. L. Robert Libutti ’58, Nevada City, Calif., Feb. 17, 2024. A member of Theta Xi, Libutti spent 32 years with IBM, where he held various positions, including working with the Project Mercury space program and helping to introduce personal computers to the Japanese market. He authored a book titled “Systems Application Architecture.” He later became CEO of Sapiens International and cofounder of Hyperion Power Generation. Donald A. Wood ’58, Wayne, Pa., March 14, 2024. A Gryphon as an undergraduate, Wood taught physics at Radnor High School for 30 years. He was a fireman with Radnor Fire Company for 62 years. Paul J.
