He also earned his J.D. and served in the legal department at Walter Reed Medical Center. He retired as a colonel. He worked as a certified public accountant and volunteered with his class. He received the Alumni Award in 2011. Edward T. Stephenson ’51 Ph.D. ’56, Bethlehem, Pa., June 29, 2024. A veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, Stephenson worked as a metallurgist and research fellow at the Homer Research Laboratories for 36 years. A Theta Delta Chi member, Banks served in the National Guard during the Korean War. He worked for several companies before retiring from T.D. Shea Manufacturing. Edward L. Boyd ’54, Earlville, N.Y., May 8, 2024. Boyd worked for IBM for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and also taught at several universities in Japan. Mark L. Davis II ’54, Ellendale, Del., July 2, 2024. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Davis served before attending Lehigh. He worked for the Department of the Interior and was an educator, financial advisor, professional photographer and cattle farmer. He became the class correspondent, writing the column in this magazine, in 2023. He rejuvenated his class and the column, and won the Alumni Award in 2024 for his service. Hans C. Dreher ’54, Saint Johns, Fla., June 2, 2024. A member of the fencing team and the U.S. Air Force, Dreher worked for GE before joining General Cigar, where he became president. He worked as CFO of American Standard Inc., and as executive VP and CFO of Pan American. He volunteered with Lehigh, serving on the LUAA Board of Directors. He received the Alumni Award in 1979. Wolf was a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired as the vice president of marketing from Comdisco, Inc. Frederic G. Dunlap ’55, Bethlehem, Pa., May 7, 2024.
