CLASS NOTES | FALL 2024 | 71 sridevi211@gmail.com. ’12 Mary (Haynie) Reardon, 215-687-1624, maryhaynie12@gmail.com Melissa Goleb married Caleb Kruse on August 3 in Point Reyes, Calif., and moved to the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland, Calif. Melissa also qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon last spring! Marrying the same day were Matt Fullam and Olivia Gennusa! The two never met at Lehigh but found each other in NYC years after graduating. I was lucky to witness a perfect ceremony and celebrate M&O in the Hamptons. Meredith Harman was wed in November 2023 and lives with her husband, Waseem ElHalabi, outside of Toronto. On July 10, the pair welcomed a perfect baby girl, Eleanor Odette ElHalabi. Congratulations all! ’13 Nicholas Graber, (201) 602-6603 (C) graber.nicholas@gmail. com Lucy Zhang, (978) 460-2394 (C); zhang.lucyw@alum.lehigh.edu ’14 Leah Paulson, leahpaulson22@ gmail.com Hi, everyone! Leah Paulson here. It was so great (re) connecting with many of you who made the trip back to Bethlehem at our 10-year reunion in June! I kicked off the weekend hearing what Lehigh Athletics has been up to with Elle Sander and Elaine Ivy, stood next to our fearless flag-bearer Hung Do at our Class Parade, and attended our class dinner at SteelStacks with all the ’14 and ’19 folks. It brought back so many great memories of attending a few banquets/dinners there and herding new students to events at ArtsQuest when it first opened! I’m excited to share an update from a fellow Young Alumni Council (YAC) member for this column (though, if you can believe it, we have officially aged out of the “young” demographic!). After getting her degree in computer science and business, Ashley Ryan stayed at Lehigh, joining the web and mobile services team in LTS as a senior developer. As of 2019, she has taken over the position of manager. After graduation, she bought a house in the area, which she shares with her boyfriend and two cats. Please reach out anytime with your personal/professional/life updates (leahpaulson22@gmail.com). I love sharing what you all are up to! ’15 Kerry Mallett, kerryamallett@gmail.com We have had some exciting life updates over the last few months. First, Lene (Samuelsen) MacArthur had a baby boy, Wesley, in January this year, and is excited for him to be a future Mountain Hawk! Sarah Minardi and Allison Heckman traveled together to the Paris Olympics, where they saw a tennis match and soccer game—a trip of a lifetime with a Lehigh friend! I also was able to go to the Paris Olympics on a last-minute trip with a friend, where I saw the Opening Ceremonies and a synchronized diving competition. Unfortunately, my time didn’t overlap with Sarah and Allison’s! Finally, our adopted class, the Class of 1965, invited us to join them at their annual football tailgate at the Bucknell game on September 28. More info on the fun next time. For updates on the tailgate and our 10-year reunion next year, make sure to follow @Lehigh15Reunion on Instagram. ’16 Rachel Sholder, rachelsholder@gmail.com ’17 Robert Hillman, robert.j.hillman1@gmail.com ’18 Megan Olivola, meolivola@gmail.com Hi, 2018s! Megan here— after 10 years (!!!) of being our class correspondent, I am very excited to announce that one of our classmates will be joining me—please join me in welcoming Dana Pierce. For this column, we thought it would be helpful to reintroduce ourselves and what we have been up to. We are looking forward to hearing from you, too! Since graduating, I have been working at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Md., which is halfway between Baltimore and D.C. The first two years, I rotated in various groups across the lab and got the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from building spacecraft for NASA to developing prototypes for the Marines. I currently work in electronic warfare and lead the test and evaluation for new acquisitions for the Navy as well as research and test new secure communications. In my free time, I dance professionally with Kinetics Dance Company, which is based in Ellicott City, Md. I also teach tap classes! I recently auditioned and was selected to perform a tap solo in the Howard County Celebration of the Arts Gala, which will be held this November. Out of 30+ people who auditioned, eight acts were selected for the showcase, and I was the only dancer. I am really excited for this opportunity! More information can be found at hocoarts.org. I have enjoyed hearing what everyone has been up to the past 10 years, and I hope to continue hearing from you! It has also been great to catch up with Dana. For those I did not get to meet during our time on campus, my name is Dana Pierce, and I will be collaborating with Megan updating Lehigh alumni on the Class of 2018! Since leaving Bethlehem, I found myself in NYC for the past six years taking in new musicals, old bookstores, the MTA and feats of engineering we call skyscrapers. After several years working for a construction management firm, I am currently a consultant in KPMG’s Infrastructure and Project Advisory group, where we support clients delivering complex and high-risk projects. The projects I’ve supported range anywhere from installation of wind turbines in the rural Midwest to the construction of the largest brewery in the U.S. in the past 20 years. In June, my boyfriend Rob Keehn surprised me with a proposal in Gramercy Park, despite my being distracted by the hydrangeas. My fiancé and I celebrated the engagement with friends, family and several other Lehigh alumni. While this column was focused on our introductions, we want to express how important it is that we hear from the rest of the Class of 2018! We know our fellow alumni are busy with new businesses, marriages, babies, world travels and everything in between. Please reach out to us via email to share your stories, or utilize the free publicity, and we will include them in the next column! ’19 Alexis Parsells, lex.parsells@gmail. com and Claudia Cohen, claudiacohen10@gmail.com Madeline E. “Madi” Ruzak was appointed as processing archivist on The Industrial Archives & Library (IAL) collections staff this past April.
