A member of Phi Delta Theta, Thibadeau served in the U.S. Air Force National Guard and worked on Wall Street before going into real estate. Richard G. Uhl ’68, Richmond, Va., Feb. 25, 2025. Uhl was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Philip Morris. Peter M. Gill ’69, Manassas, Va., Jan. 16, 2025. A member of the Gryphon Society, Gill served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years and retired as a colonel. As a civilian, he worked for Space Applications Corp. J. He worked for Turner Construction Company as an engineer. 1970s Kenneth I. Klein ’70, Scottsdale, Ariz., Jan. 4, 2025. A member of the football team, Klein worked as a family practice doctor for nearly 50 years. Eric L. Flicker ’71 ’77G, Savannah, Ga., March 31, 2025. Flicker was a member of the Glee Club. He worked as president of Spotts, Stevens, and McCoy, and CFO and senior consultant of Pennoni Associates Inc. He spent much time volunteering with his class, and for his efforts was honored with the Alumni Award in 2016. James F. Mitman ’71, Willow Street, Pa., Feb. 14, 2025. Mitman was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He worked at Exelon Nuclear for 42 years as a nuclear engineer. His parent, Emil Mitman ’47, and his sibling, Thomas Mitman ’69, were members of the Lehigh family. Thomas E. Bankson ’72, Pittsburgh, Pa., Jan. 3, 2025. Bankson was a member of Delta Upsilon and worked as the president of Bankson Engineers, Inc. His child, Lynn Bankson, is a member of the Class of 2008. David A. Ford ’72, Bloomsburg, Pa., Dec. 4, 2024. Ford was a member of Delta Phi fraternity and served in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years. He also worked for Oppenheimer & Co., as a financial advisor. His child, Miranda (Ford) Brooks ’06, is a member of the Lehigh family. Charles J. Brand ’74 ’77G, Union, N.J., March 31, 2025. Brand was a partner at Dolan and Dolan. He volunteered extensively for Lehigh, with his class, the Lehigh Lawyers and the wrestling club. He was honored with the Alumni Award in 1994. Newman was an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and sports medicine with Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists. His child, Brian Newman, is a member of the Class of 2009. Glenn W. Troxel ’79, Nashua, N.H., Feb. 9, 2025. Troxel was a member of the baseball team and is the record holder for the most triples hit in one season. Julie K. Anderson Rakestraw ’85, Washington Crossing, Pa., Jan. 21, 2025. Anderson Rakestraw was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. She had a 30-year career at DuPont, where she managed R&D and business teams in both polymer applications and international trade law. Valerie Francisco ’86, Tampa, Fla., Dec. 11, 2024. Hatfield was the owner of the Hatfield Insurance group. Richard A. Fuller ’89, Kennett Square, Pa., March 14, 2025. Fuller worked as a real estate director. Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Murphy was a special operations pilot. He was a member of Psi Upsilon. John C. Canterbury ’92, Peoria, Ill., Jan. 3, 2025. A member of Alpha Epsilon Pi, Canterbury worked as a veterinarian technician. Jarrod P. Kaufman ’92, Toms River, N.J., Jan. 30, 2025. Kaufman was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu. He worked as a surgeon and a founding member of Premier Surgical Group and Premier Vein Center. As an alumnus, he volunteered with his class and served on the Parents Council. His children, Victoria Kaufman ’22 and Hannah Kaufman ’25, are members of the Lehigh family. Dozie O. Mbonu ’92, Philadelphia, Pa., Feb. 2025. Mbonu was a member of the basketball team and remains sixth on the all-time scoring list. He went on to play professionally in Europe and manage the Nigerian team during their 2012 Olympic debut. He co-founded Janerette’s Eco-Friendly Fungi LLC. He volunteered as a member of BALANCE and other affinity groups. John P. Coblentz III ’97, Sammamish, Wash., March 27, 2025.
