A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, Krizan made his career in the computer engineering field. George J. Novak ’58, Easton, Pa., April 7, 2025. Novak made his career with Bethlehem Steel. Robert A. Orben ’58, Columbus, Ind., April 14, 2025. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Orben worked for Price Waterhouse, NCR, Cummins Engine Company, and Columbus Container. Orben was a member of the Tower Society. His child, William Orben ’97, and grandchild, Jacob Stocker ’24, are members of the Lehigh family. William V. Wilson ’58, Sellersville, Pa., Jan. 16, 2025. Wilson served in the U.S. Marine Corps before a sales career, including with Schulmerich Carillons and Malmark, Inc. - Bellcraftsmen. Richard D. Beltson ’59, Atlantic Beach, Fla., April 15, 2025. A member of the basketball team and Theta Delta Chi, Beltson served in the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam and the Yom Kippur War, eventually retiring as a twostar general. He later worked for Raytheon. Joseph H. Henningsen ’59, New Haven, Conn., Jan. 2, 2025. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, Henningsen was a member of the football team and Theta Delta Chi. He worked as VP of manufacturing for Friendly’s Ice Cream. Robert L. Jacobs ’59, Charlotte, Va., Feb. 3, 2025. Jacobs served in the U.S. Army before attending Lehigh. He worked in an oil refinery and also attended seminary. Gene M. Pope ’59, Louisville, Ky., Jan. 19, 2025. A member of Phi Delta Kappa, Pope served in the U.S. Army and made his career in the insurance industry. 1960s John H. Andren Jr. ’60, New York, N.Y., Aug. 11, 2024. Andren was a member of the ice hockey team and Mustard & Cheese. He made his career in banking with JP Morgan Chase. Richard L. Botch ’60, Muhlenberg Township, Pa., Dec. 20, 2024. Botch served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He owned Chicken Supreme, Sinking Spring Laundromat and Fink Apartments in Reading. William H. Briggs ’60, Brevard, N.C., Feb. 4, 2025. A member of the swim team and Chi Phi, Briggs served in the U.S. Army upon graduation. He worked for IBM for 31 years. Joseph A. Corcoran ’60, Blauvelt, N.Y., Jan. 9, 2025. Corcoran was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. He worked as the general manager of construction for Consolidated Edison for 30 years. Richard T. Achenbach ’61, West Bangor, Pa., Feb. 27, 2025. Walter M. Diener ’61, Spring Township, Pa., April 5, 2025. A member of Psi Upsilon and WGPA-1100 AM, Diener served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He practiced law for over 50 years, specializing in estate planning, estate administration and real estate law. His parent, Walter Diener ’24, brother-in-law, Robert G. Miller ’62, and nephew, Gunnar Miller ’87, are members of the Lehigh family. Arden M. Emery ’61 M.S. ’63, Wilmington, Del., Jan. 27, 2025. Emery worked for DuPont Company Textile Fabrics for 35 years. His Lehigh legacy is extensive, including his children, David Emery ’86 and Linda (Emery) Mason ’90, three grandchildren and many others. Edward P. Garabed ’61, Newtown, Pa., March 14, 2025. Garabed worked for the U.S. Navy for 35 years researching the use of sonar for anti-submarine warfare. Peter R. Karsten ’61, Kansas City, Mo., Dec. 1, 2024. A Delta Upsilon member, Karsten’s career included technical/medical publishing, owning a bookstore and running the Golden Gloves amateur boxing tournament. Deno G. Langis ’61, Elysburg, Pa., April 11, 2025. Langis was a member of the Marching 97 and Theta Chi. He ran the family business, Langis Candy Shoppe. Daniel B. Drawbaugh ’62, Camp Hill, Pa., April 15, 2025. Drawbaugh was a member of Delta Phi. His child, William Drawbaugh, is a member of the Class of 1990. Neil G. Epstein ’62, Philadelphia, Pa., Feb. 27, 2025. A member of Sigma Alpha Mu and the wrestling club, Epstein was a commercial litigator for over 50 years with Connolly, Epstein, Chicco, Foxman & Ewing. John L. Kaiser ’62, Lansing, N.Y., Feb. 28, 2025. Kaiser was a member of Delta Upsilon. He was also the owner/operator of the Hamilton Club in Morris Run and the Mansfield Agway. William J. McGarrity ’62, Latrobe, Pa., Jan. 19, 2025. A member of Phi Sigma Kappa, McGarrity worked for Ford Motor Company, Gibson Electric Company and Toyad Corporation. His parent, William F. McGarrity ’31, was a member of the Lehigh family. Craig S. Mosebach ’62 ’66G, Bethlehem, Pa., April 8, 2025. A member of Chi Phi, Mosebach served in the U.S. National Guard. He worked for PPL for 32 years. Kent L. Bonney ’63, Chatham, Mass., Jan. 14, 2025. Bonney was a member of Beta Theta Pi. He then served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam, before flying for Delta Airlines for over 30 years. Thomas D. Brush ’63, Scio, N.Y., Feb. 20, 2025. Brush was a member of Chi Phi and the basketball team. He owned and operated Mater Dei Home for Adults and Sundae School Restaurant. He also worked for Accord. His children, Mary Brush Senior ’88 and Jeffrey Senior ’88, and grandchild, Emily Senior ’25, are members of the Lehigh family. He was a member of the Tower Society. Robert J. Erkes ’63, Reading, Pa., Feb. 17, 2025. Erkes was the owner of Perfect Candy and Packaging Co. Richard B. Nieberle ’63, Newtown Square, Pa., March 21, 2025. Nieberle made his 33-year career with Philadelphia Electric Company as an engineer and major industrial account representative. Frederick C. Schanstine ’63, Palmerton, Pa., Jan. 29, 2025. Schanstine worked for New Jersey Zinc Co., before owning The Frame Gallery. Richard S. Sweet ’63, Fort Mill, S.C., March 4, 2025. A veteran of the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War, Sweet worked as an international taxation lawyer. Harold P. Bitler ’64, Hilton Head Island, S.C., Feb. 10, 2025. Bitler was a member of the Marching 97. He served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Colombia teaching math. He made his career in finance with SunTrust Banks. Donald R. Bosten ’64, Jackson, Tenn., Jan. 21, 2025. A member of Lambda Chi Alpha, Bosten played a zombie in “Night of the Living Dead.” He worked as a mechanical engineer and held over 30 patents. Robert G. Burch ’64, Tucson, Ariz., March 31, 2025. A member of the football team and Theta Delta Chi, Burch made his career with Ingersoll Rand. Roger K. Gregory ’64, Center Township, Pa., Feb. 21, 2025.
