56 | LEHIGH ALUMNI BULLETIN | CLASS NOTES Unit dealing with life-threatening cases, Bali feels fortunate to get to work in this specialty. It’s amazing for her to help people get a second chance at life and beat the odds against them surviving. She is fueled by getting to see these individuals live new lives once they get the liver transplant they need. Shortly after graduating from PA school, Bali moved in with Ben Powell. Bali and Ben have been together since 2018. Ben majored in industrial and systems engineering with a business minor. When he moved to Manhattan after graduating, he began working in building envelope construction for Rimkus Consulting Group. He mainly worked on restoration projects throughout the New York City boroughs. He then moved on to a position at Columbia Property Trust to join the world of real estate development. During his two years at this company, he has been working on restoring the historic Terminal Warehouse in West Chelsea. Originally built in 1891 as a cold storage and shipping warehouse, this 1.2 million-square-foot groundscraper will be revitalized as a high-performance diversified office and retail space. Ben has been the project manager overseeing the construction management team’s build-out. Now in the post-development phase, he gets to facilitate all the details and fit-outs coming into place throughout the spaces, including the gym, event space and cafes. This iconic building features an arch tunnel that once allowed freight trains to pass through. When the redevelopment reaches its final stage, this reimagined tunnel will be brought to life as a food and shopping hall and commercial hub for the west side of Manhattan. In October 2024, Bali and Ben got engaged and celebrated in the West Village, the place they’ve called home. They both love to travel. Their trips across the globe have been their highlights since graduating, with recent travels to Thailand in 2024 and an upcoming trip to Argentina. They most recently went to Lisbon, Portugal, where they selected the venue for their wedding in 2026. ’20 Evan Choy egc320@alum. lehigh.edu Reunion! Somehow, just like that, we’ve hit our five-year milestone, which led me to reflecting on how quickly those years have gone by. I’ve been fortunate to keep the same job at Deloitte since graduation, so I thought it might be a good idea to catch up with a few of my fellow Deloitters in this edition. Rachel Buonasora and I first met on day one of our Deloitte internship, and I’ve been fortunate to call her a friend and colleague since! We’ve grown up through the firm together, and she is also a senior consultant in our cyber and strategic risk practice. Some of you know her through her involvement in the Martindale Honors Program, Alpha Gamma Delta or Engineers Without Borders. Rachel was an IBE major, focused on ISE and finance. Her favorite memory of Lehigh is her trip to South Africa through the Martindale program, and she’s been traveling ever since graduation. Rachel’s visited Denmark, Norway, Italy and India, and now she’s back home in Manhattan in the Deloitte Excellence Fellowship, a rotational program at the firm. Sarah Johnston works in Deloitte Services based out of Arlington, Va. While many of you may know Sarah through ΑΟπ, Consulting Club or Marketing Club, I know her as one of Deloitte’s newest marketing and communications specialists. Sarah graduated Lehigh as a sociology major with a marketing minor and went on to work as a campus recruiter before starting her new role at the firm. Outside of work, she’s training for a half-marathon. Speaking about training for half-marathons, Christina DiGiorgio is also in training while trying to balance life at the firm. Christina is a senior consultant in our engineering and capital projects practice. She graduated with a chemical and biomolecular engineering degree. Many of you will remember Christina through Greek life or the Orientation Leader program, but nowadays she’s traveling the world. Sounds like you’ll be catching us Deloitters running half-marathons in 2026. After my first one in March, I’ve caught the bug. If you’ll be running a race or have any news to share, I’d love to hear about it. Drop me an email at egc320@alum.lehigh.edu. ’21 Eve Freed, evefreed1@gmail.com and Skyler McCabe, skylermc cabe1@gmail.com David Peterson has recently launched a ready-to-drink canned cocktail brand called Snazzy Beverages. Snazzy is a full-bodied cocktail that combines a refreshing twist of lemonade, smooth iced tea and real spirits. At Lehigh, David pursued a minor in entrepreneurship, where he found himself drawn to the challenge of turning personal passions into real ventures. In his final entrepreneurship class with Professor Josh Ehrig, David started his work on building the business. With the help of other Lehigh alumni and a few years of work, Snazzy officially launched in February 2025. His time in college gave him the tools to build the foundation, but it was his connection to the past that gave Snazzy its soul. Snazzy is available to order at snazzybeverages.com and in select stores in California. Follow their social media accounts @snazzybeverages. ’22 Clare Fonstein, clf222@alum. lehigh.edu ’23 Declan Coster, declanmcoster@ gmail.com Hello, Class of 2023! I’ve enjoyed writing these columns about the happenings of our class since leaving South Mountain. I know many of you have done a lot over the past two years, so please reach out to me (declanmcoster@gmail.com) so I can include those updates in the next write-up. This column focuses on three guys who spent many Tuesday afternoons with me in Student Senate meetings. After graduation, Duncan Shober-Fernback moved to the Twin Cities to work as an administrative computing specialist for Concordia University and pursue his M.S. in computer science. Outside of the office and the classroom, Duncan volunteers with RESULTS, an anti-poverty advocacy group, where he works as part of a fellowship to lobby Congress with the goal of expanding the Child Tax Credit and other parts of the social safety net. Hugo Ramos left for Chicago to work for JP Morgan in a two-year rotational program. In the spring of 2024, Hugo joined the Endorphins run club in Chicago, which ramped up his fitness side. After completing the Chicago Triathlon and Half-Marathon, Hugo has his sights on his first marathon: the Rio de Janeiro Marathon in June 2025. Jesus Dominguez moved down to Dallas, Texas, after graduation to work in logistics. He loved the area and met his fiancée there! Jesus is now in Pennsylvania but plans to move back to Texas after his wedding next year. Now working for Capital One, Jesus has switched to a software engineer role as part of a program that will move him around different technical teams in the business. Outside of work, Jesus enjoys being back home in Pennsylvania and taking walks in the beautiful weather.
