Alumni Bulletin-Summer25

CELEBRATION OF DIVERSITY On April 27, those at the Clayton University Center at Packer Hall were treated to numerous dance groups, interactive booths, a fashion show and food from around the world, among other activities and performances as Lehigh held its annual International Bazaar. In its 36th year, the International Bazaar, hosted by the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) and the student-led International Bazaar Board, has become the largest international celebration on campus, growing to include the involvement of more than 1,000 international students from 91 countries and more than 40 student cultural organizations on campus. The celebration of diversity is open to the entire Lehigh community. “Now more than ever, I love that this event is a space to say, ‘We see you and we value you,’” Patricia Goldman, assistant director of international student engagement, said. —Stephen Gross SCAN TO WATCH A VIDEO OF THE EVENT SOAKING IN THE FUN Summer showers didn’t dampen the spirits of alumni on campus for Reunion. Classmates reconnected, relived memories and rediscovered Lehigh. That discovery included tours of the renovated Clayton University Center at Packer Hall, the Business Innovation Building and the Health, Science and Technology Building. Provost Nathan Urban provided an update on the Lehigh Strategy and innovations taking shape. Jeremy Gibson, Murray H. Goodman Dean of Athletics, shared his excitement and vision for Lehigh Athletics. A panel of experts including Paolo Bocchini, founder and director of the first University Research Center, discussed catastrophe modeling and resilience. Lehigh raised a toast to the Class of 1975, especially the women who celebrated the 50th Reunion of the first coeducational undergraduate class. Greek alumni hit The Hill to visit their sorority and fraternity houses. All alumni mingled at Class Dinners, ReunionFest and Hawktoberfest. Some Lehigh lovebirds renewed their vows in Packer Memorial Church. One couple was married, and another got engaged. There was no raining on the historic parade as anniversary classes marched down Alumni Memorial walkway with the Marching 97 alumni band leading the way.
