Asbridge M.S. ’55 Ph.D. ’59, Castle Pines, Colo., Sept. 28, 2024. Asbridge was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. He worked at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory for 32 years. George W. Grimm M.S. ’60 Ph.D. ’64, Tucson, Ariz., Sept. 2, 2024. Donald G. Clemons M.S. ’64, Whitehall, Pa., Dec. 8, 2024. Clemons was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and an engineer at Bell Labs for 37 years. Angelo Iacono M.Ed. ’65, Allentown, Pa., Dec. 9, 2024. A veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, Iacono was an elementary school educator. Alvin F. Coleman M.A. ’66 Ed.D. ’75, Limerick, Pa., Nov. 5, 2024. Coleman spent 38 years in education, including in the classroom, and school- and district-level administration. John C. Hirsh M.A. ’66 Ph.D. ’70, Waltham, Mass., Dec. 6, 2024. Hirsh was a professor of English at Georgetown University for 53 years. He was a scholar and specialist in medieval English literature—especially Geoffrey Chaucer—and nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American literature. Morris Anschel Ph.D. ’67, Murrells Inlet, S.C., Oct. 29, 2024. Conrad W. Stout MBA ’68, Little River, S.C., Nov. 1, 2024. Stout worked for Princeton University in the nuclear fusion research effort known as Plasma Physics Lab (PPL). His child, William Stout, is a member of the Class of 1979. Miriam R. (Nilsen) Pope M.Ed. ’69, Plantation, Fla., Nov. 3, 2024. Pope was the head of the mathematics department at Moravian Academy. She also taught in Easton Area Schools and at Northampton Community College. Paul M. Machmeier Ph.D. ’70, Racine, Wis., Dec. 18, 2024. William R. Kase M.Ed. ’71, Reading, Pa., Oct. 6, 2024. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Kase was a founding faculty member at Holy Name High School. He served as a teacher, football and track coach, athletic director, vice principal and the first lay principal of a Catholic high school in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. George W. Stefaniak M.A. ’71, District Township, Pa., Nov. 26, 2024. Stefaniak taught in the Upper Perkiomen School District for 36 years. Donnie G. Thomas M.S. ’71, Broomfield, Colo., Dec. 3, 2024. Thomas served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked with Western Electric and AT&T. Jean N. (Okazaki) Landis M.A. ’72, Harleysville, Pa., Nov. 26, 2024. Landis taught English at Montgomery County Community College before joining North Penn School District for the majority of her career. Bruce T. Naman M.S. ’72, Houston, Texas, Oct. 7, 2024. After serving in the U.S. Army, Naman made a 40-year career in systems engineering within the oil and gas industry. Kennard L. Bowman Ed.D. ’73, Mechanicsburg, Pa., Sept. 16, 2024. Bowman was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at the Pennsylvania Department of Education for 25 years and was a founder and the first president of Londonderry School. Dorothy M. (Gilroy) Lenhart M.Ed. ’73, Elmhurst Township, Pa., Sept. 20, 2024. Lenhart was a teacher at Fogelsville Elementary School in the Parkland School District. Mary Beth (Mitchell) Genter M.Ed. ’74, Downingtown, Pa., Sept. 6, 2024. Throughout her life, Genter had many roles as a schoolteacher, office manager, bookkeeper, healer and crafter. Louis E. Sage Ph.D. ’74, Harpswell Alna, Maine, Sept. 26, 2024. Sage was the director at the Bigelow Laboratory for Oceanic Sciences. Michael W. Snovitch M.S. ’74, Coopersburg, Pa., Nov. 5, 2024. Snovitch retired as executive in charge of PPL’s Fuels Department and an adjunct professor at Lafayette College. In his second career, he was the executive director of Alliance for Rail Competition. Ronald P. Johnson M.Ed. ’76, Fort Myers, Fla., Oct. 8, 2024. Johnson made his teaching career at the Whitehall-Coplay School district. He also managed several local movie and drive-in theaters in the Lehigh Valley. Nicholas Zettlemoyer Ph.D. ’76, The Woodlands, Texas, Nov. 10, 2023. After serving in the Naval Civil Engineering Corps, Zettlemoyer was employed by ExxonMobil Research until retirement. Margaret A. Connell M.Ed. ’78, Clearwater, Fla., Oct. 15, 2024. Connell served as the director of disability resources at St. Petersburg College. Barbara A. Klouser M.A. ’79, Stewartsville, N.J., Oct. 1, 2024. Klouser was an educator who taught at Belvidere High School and Colonial Intermediate Unit 20. Robert B. Richard M.S. ’80, Flemington, N.J., Sept. 23, 2024. Richard was a biology teacher and soccer coach at Hillsborough High School. He also worked as the supervisor of sciences at the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District. In retirement, he became an adjunct professor at TCNJ. Ellen M. (Gleim) Navitsky MBA ’82, Emmaus, Pa., Nov. 6, 2024. Navitsky was an analyst at Air Products, an accountant, and later a math teacher in the East Penn School District. Her spouse, Leonard Navitsky, also received his graduate degree in 1982. Joseph R. Turse Ed.D. ’84, West Chester, Pa., Sept. 15, 2024. Turse was employed by the West Chester School District for 25 years, first as a counselor and later as an administrator. He also taught at Immaculata University and other higher education institutions. His sibling, Daniel Turse, was a member of the Class of 1963. Elizabeth A. Harvey M.A. ’85, Stamford, Conn., Oct. 12, 2024. Harvey worked in publishing as an editor. Linda M. (Odenath) Myers M.Ed. ’89, Macungie, Pa., Nov. 27, 2024. Myers was a firstgrade teacher at Schnecksville Elementary School in the Parkland School District for many years. William A. Plank MBA ’94, Bethlehem, Pa., Oct. 5, 2024. Plank worked in the steel and cement industry for 25 years before owning and operating Blue Eagle Logistics. Derra D. McDonough M.Ed. ’97, Newark, Del., Aug. 26, 2024. McDonough taught special education to middle and high school students, as well as worked with adults. Dennis M. Wisdom MBA ’11, Bethlehem, Pa., Aug. 20, 2024. Wisdom worked as a certified public accountant for Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network.
