The wedding took place at Perona Farms in Andover, N.J., with many Lehigh alumni present (see photo on Celebrations page). Amanda Derby and I served as bridesmaids. The couple honeymooned in Greece and enjoyed the excellent seafood and beautiful Mediterranean views. Sam and Sean met through mutual friends, including Katherine Fletcher, in Manayunk and currently reside in Conshohocken, Pa. ’17 Robert Hillman, robert.j.hillman1@ gmail.com Hello, Class of ’17! It has been a while since I wrote. I was distracted from my correspondence duties because I got married, and in so doing hosted a decent-sized Lehigh reunion! In August, my wife Shannon and I got married in Warwick, Rhode Island, and my wedding party and guest list was full of alumni from the classes of ’16, ’17, ’18 and ’21. It was a truly incredible time, and I am so happy that I could create another wonderful memory with my friends from Lehigh. During all the planning for the wedding, I was reminded by several friends that when we were in the Marching 97, the band was invited to attend the wedding of a few couples who had met at Lehigh or through the 97 specifically. While the current band did not come and play the fight songs for us, our DJ did play “New York, New York,” which was the 97’s halftime show in 2014 when we played Le-Laf at Yankee Stadium. Thank you to everyone who attended or sent their best wishes. Speaking of Le-Laf, I have to write about my amazement with the football team this past season! I was once again not able to attend Le-Laf in person, but we watched the televised games as Lehigh went to the second round of the FCS playoffs. What an amazing job! I was reminded of 2016 when a small contingent of the Marching 97 made the trek up to New Hampshire to cheer on the team in the first round of playoffs. It is always very fun to see the team and the fans travel. Next year I am hoping to take advantage of another Lehigh Alumni watch party for Le-Laf, perhaps in a new city than I’ve been to before, but the Boston watch party is always a good time. Finally, as I have said before in this column, it is very fun to run into other alumni wherever
