Looking forward to seeing you back at Lehigh! ’96 Jen (Crimmins) Keen, 17 Windsor Drive, Foxborough, MA 02035. (508) 543-5036; jen@keensense.com Greetings, Class of ’96! I’ve finally caught up with all the updates from a few years ago … so it’s time to send some more news my way! My son Harry is now a freshman at Lehigh and loving it. He is roommates with Nick Wolf, who is the son of Jon Wolf ’95 and Jess (Vetrano) Wolf ’95. What are the odds of that?! Jon and Jess live in Connecticut with their two daughters, Deanna (16) and Riley (8). Christine Carroll Tobias sent an update: “There are nine of us Thetas that still try to get together at least once a year. This year we made a weekend out of it celebrating our collective 50th. The girls all came down to my home in Wilmington, N.C., where we took out the old photo albums and laughed at old memories and made some new ones.” (Please see photo in Celebrations section.) Danielle (Carpino) Lowthert reported: “I started a new job this summer as marketing data analyst at Tauck Tours in Wilton, Conn. I’m thrilled to be in the travel industry again, and after two years in a fully remote position, I’m very happy to go to the office a few days a week and be around people again.” Brandi (Brevina) Unchester reported: “We are proud to say our group of AGD sisters, spouses, children and honorary members has kept the Lehigh tailgate tradition alive since we graduated. This year marks our 28th year and has been an important part of keeping our friendship strong. Brandi (Brezina) Unchester, Tom Unchester, Terri (Marino) Hunsinger, Tom Hunsinger, Melissa “Missy” (Fitzgibbon) Newman, Jeff Newman, Virginia (Frisch) McElroy, Alex McElroy and Elyssa (White) Murray met up at Goodman Stadium along with Virginia and Alex’s daughter, Anna McElroy ’27. Having kids the same age we were when we met at Lehigh is a real full-circle moment! Lots of alumni were back for the big game—we had the chance to catch up with Carey Pitman ’95, Kimberly (Lake) Mrvica ’95, Bob Fyrer, Eric Irwin, Doug Borkowski, Corbett Dabbs ’95, Bill Hogenauer ’93, Lew Iadarola, Andrew Lazur, Eric Hoerdemann, Tom Figueroa and Nerissa Aschoff ’91. Looking forward to many fun years of tailgates ahead—will post on Facebook when we pick the date for a home game next year. (Please see photo in Celebrations.) Cheers to everyone making it to 50 (and older) years old. I still picture many of you as I did when I met you when we were 18-21 years old. Send me an update so we can find out what you’ve been up to in the last 30+ years! ’97 Lopa (Patel) Zielinski, Madison, NJ, Lpzielinski@gmail.com Erik Hume wrote in to say, “I am currently living in the Harrisburg, Pa., area and chair the real estate law group at Saxton & Stump, a regional law firm. My big news is that my son, Alex, just began his freshman year at Lehigh—he is enrolled in the College of Engineering and is living in Smiley House in Upper Cents (which to my surprise is no longer sororities and is now freshman dorms). We are very excited to have another generation at Lehigh and are very excited for frequent visits back to South Mountain!” Daniel Pietrzak spoke in the 2024 Donald M. Gruhn ’49 Distinguished Finance Speaker Series at Lehigh in a “fireside chat on the ‘Financial Market Evolution Post the Global Financial Crisis.’” ’98 Gregory Kuklinski, gjk4@alum.lehigh.edu It was great to see so many of you at the 160th Lehigh-Lafayette game at Goodman Stadium. This year at tailgates it was great to see Eric Kolasa, Alan Fornwalt ’27P, Brian Fronapfel, Josh Levine, Alex Batcha, Carolyn Klimas, Jeff O’Connor, Carter Wyckoff, Thomas Sabol, Catherine (Spencer) Bernard, Lori (Schucker) Curley and Constantine Patmanidis ’23. In attendance from the Class of 1999 were Bob Jones, Brendan Sheehan, Gavin Curley, Brian Killea and also Adam Slansky ’00. If you were not at the game, it was a great win for Lehigh to capture their first Patriot League Championship since 2017. After the game, fans stormed the field in excitement. Being at the game, it was a sight to see. The next two games in 2025 and 2026 will be held at Lafayette College. For photos from the tailgate, please check out the Class of 1998 Facebook page. If you haven’t been to campus recently, the Clayton University Center has reopened and it’s beautiful. Dan Ochs writes that he is living in Manchester, Mass., and traveling to France to visit his wife and four kids, who are spending a year abroad. He is working at Amazon Web Services as a solutions architecture lead and often travels around the U.S., helping financial services customers and visiting his team. Please continue to share your news, and I will make sure that it makes our class column. Class of 1998 Facebook Page: facebook.com/groups/ Lehigh98/ ’99 Karen (Smith) Fischer, kms5lehigh@gmail.com Hello! I’m so happy to share a celebratory note for a class of 1999 Lehigh couple. Leigh (Fendrick) Hanbridge and her husband, Dan Hanbridge, met at Lehigh and celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary this past November! Congratulations to you both! Leigh and Dan live in Metuchen, N.J., and have a 16-year-old daughter (Callie) and a 12-year-old son (Alek). Leigh is in her 19th year working as a high school guidance counselor, and Dan is the VP of accounting for BetMGM. While catching up, Leigh also shared that she was back for our 25th Reunion with her best friend from Lehigh, Jessica (Cheerman) Rogers. Jessica lives in Maryland with her husband and two boys, and she and Leigh are still best friends to this day—after first meeting freshman year while living in M&M. Thanks again for reaching out, Leigh! And please get in touch if you have anything you want to celebrate with our class!
