66 | LEHIGH ALUMNI BULLETIN | CLASS NOTES Mike, her (Lafayette) husband of 27 years. They split time visiting their daughter in NYC, meeting up with their son in Philadelphia, and spending time at home with their youngest, a senior in high school. Debbie is a volunteer manager for a local nonprofit. Maggie (Quinn) Walker and husband Randy are officially empty nesters and have retired to their longtime home in Maine, where they enjoy the great outdoors. They also enjoy spending time with their sons, who live and work in NYC and Philly, respectively. Maggie has recently been named board president of Sea Change Yoga, a nonprofit bringing free yoga to underserved communities. Sherie (Androlewicz) Mischler lives in Canton, Mass., with her husband of 27 years, Bob. She is the proud mother of Emily, an environmental scientist, and Eric, a senior at the University of Utah. Sherie is an administrative specialist at Northeastern University in Planning, Real Estate and Facilities. Sherie, who is a Roger S. Penske Lehigh Athletics Hall of Famer for basketball (editor add—not a self-brag by Sherie!), still enjoys watching college hoops and the WNBA. Kara Riehman has been living in Atlanta for 18 years. She has been working in the field of public health doing research and evaluation for 30 years but recently made a career change. She and her partner, Kevin Cronin, now own a home siding franchise, Ideal Siding. If any alumni need new home siding, you know who to call! Jacqueline (Kuney) Green lives in Atlanta with husband John and is in-house counsel for Fidelity Investments. Her daughter, Kirsten, is an art director in NYC, and her son, Connor, recently graduated from South Carolina and is a logistics specialist living in Chicago. Jacki and John have been fortunate to travel and will soon visit Tuscany with 30 friends and family members. Most summers, you can find them in Vermont at their “camp” on Lake Champlain. And finally, after 25 years living in Roswell, Ga., Andrea Lauer Rice can claim “native” southerner status! Andrea and Barten, her husband of 24 years, have two sons: Nick is a senior at UGA, and J.P. is a junior in high school. Andrea is an author and documentary producer while continuing her work as the president of the Hungarian-American Coalition. She is currently working on special projects for the upcoming America 250 celebration. Stay tuned! For those of you at Le-Laf 2024, we saw you and we’ll name-drop you in the next edition. See you in June at Reunion 2025! ’91 Diana (Zoller) Perkins, dianazoller@ gmail.com Paul Mazzella was at the Lehigh-Lafayette game and organized a huge tailgate of over 50 Pi Lam alumni who were there to celebrate not only the game but also the fraternity’s move back to the Hill! Jim Mongillo’s ’88 daughter, Ally Mongillo ’28, lives in the house, so they got to have a quick tour, and I’m sure it is exactly as they left it! Apparently, there was a banner contest at the Alumni Tailgate, and the winning banner said “LAF is the Temu version of Lehigh.” Every other ad in my Instagram feed is for Temu—what exactly does that say about me? I’d still vote for “Pound the ’Pards,” but an easy second would be “Lafayette bowls with bumpers.” Paul has been living in Atlantic Highlands, N.J., for the last 20 years and owns Eastpointe Health and Fitness. He spends a lot of time in the summers on his boat in LBI. Pam Sprayregen-Weissman had a great time at the game. She ran into Allison (Ryba) Feinstein, whose son, Andrew, is a junior; Samantha Addonizio-Butts; Denise (Leonard) Kellerk, whose daughter is a senior; and Tara (Smith) Gohlmann. Marcy Roth is excited to share some incredible news! She has been recognized as one of the top 35 Los Angeles real estate agents of the year by The Hollywood Reporter. This honor is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to the hard work and dedication of her amazing team at Eklund | Gomes. Jill Wasserman’s son, Rowan, is at the University of Pittsburgh and is having a great freshman year. Susan Lanter Blank and Jared have been on the parents’ weekend circuit this fall, visiting Sage at Michigan and Scarlett at Colgate. Melissa Golden and Stacey Levine are in training as their girls are both seniors. By the time you read this, I hope to have seen Cliff Seltzer in Tel Aviv. He’s had a few canceled trips to visit family because of the war, but maybe flights will resume sooner rather than later. I miss having visitors in town (Jill (Merriam) Dulitsky)! Many of Cliff’s family made it back to Goodman Stadium for the game. ’92 Melissa (Gitlin), Jacoby, mgjacoby@gmail.com; and Rachel (Beck) Diamond, rachelmbeck@hotmail.com Oh, Professor Rick Matthews … if you know, you know. … For those of you who weren’t government majors or similar, he was the most terrifying yet amazing professor in the College of Arts and Sciences. Scary in the sense that he used the Socratic method, so you actually had to pay attention for, like, every second of his class, but incredible because he was “that” teacher who made you work harder than you thought possible and love every second of it. Both of us happen to be government majors, so when Rachel got a call last spring from fellow AXO sister and study partner Regan Safier ’93 that Professor Matthews was retiring and there was a small party … well, she had to go! As luck would have it, the early 1990s Matthews’ fan base was well represented! Among those attending this farewell soiree included Adam Udell, who was inspired by Professor Matthews to go into teaching and now has spent decades as a high school history teacher in the Octorara schools west of Philadelphia. Also in attendance was Cara O’Brien, who recently left Hong Kong after more than a decade working there in strategic communications and now is back living in New York City. Amy (Silver) Kramer ’91, who road-tripped up from Chevy Chase, Md., to attend along with Rachel and Regan, works as a communications consultant. Regan, a medical malpractice attorney in Philadelphia, lives outside the city with her husband and four children. It was a great sendoff to an amazing teacher! We’ve got other news, too. Thanks to Matt Girardy for sending us an update! (Yes, he listened to our call for updates and sent something in … hint, hint.) Matt is a dentist in the beautiful shore town of Spring Lake, N.J., and was happy to report that his son entered Lehigh this fall as part of the Class of 2028. While he’s unsure where his studies will take him, he’s in great company—this entering class is the largest ever at 1,530 students! Amazing! Wishing him the best! Also newsworthy was that classmate Steven Ragland has been named to the board of directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers! Steven is a partner and general counsel at Keker, Van Nest & Peters, based in San Francisco, where he has worked for the last 20 years! He graduated from American University’s Washington College of Law. A big congrats to Steven on this accomplishment!
