Please reach out! ’13 Nicholas Graber, (201) 602-6603 (C) graber.nicholas@gmail. com Lucy Zhang, (978) 4602394 (C); zhang.lucyw@alum. lehigh.edu Editor’s note: Our many thanks to Bea Dizon, who has written this column for the last five years. We wish her well as she passes the torch to Nick Graber and Lucy Zhang. Welcome to our new correspondents! From Nick Graber: Hello, fellow members of the Class of 2013! I am excited to announce that I’ve chosen to volunteer here as a class co-correspondent. I look forward to getting to know more of you and reconnecting with those I’ve lost touch with over the past 10 years. My wife, Julie, and I moved back to New Jersey and are happy to be in the tri-state area with our rescue poodles, Toby and Ebel. At Lehigh, I majored in mechanical engineering and minored in economics and aerospace engineering. Since then, I have worked everywhere, from startups to S&P 500 companies, in the fitness, environmental and medical device industries. I am an engineering manager for Seisa Medical in Eatontown, N.J., keeping manufacturing running and working on process improvements. I enjoy hiking, hockey, soccer and golf in my free time. I hope to hear from many of you, so I can share all that you’ve done, and are planning to do, with the rest of our classmates! From Lucy Zhang: I am excited to be our class co-correspondent and looking forward to reconnecting and sharing our class accomplishments with everyone! In order to keep this column interesting, we need your help in sharing your news. Don’t be shy; we genuinely want to hear from you! A group of us reunited at the Le-Laf game (Allie Guccione, Jessica Mackey, Samantha Lo, Jenny (Weinberg) Grubner, Jackie (Lyons) Daniels, Alyssa Gutjahr, Angelica Halat, Allie Zamfir, Michael Giglio, Annie Cornell ’14, Teresa Chamberlain ’14, Nick Walchonski ’15 and Elena Ramirez ’15), and I am happy to report that although Asian Bistro renamed to East 24 Bistro, it is just as we remember it. At Lehigh, I majored in finance and marketing, with a minor in real estate and entrepreneurship, and am currently a portfolio management officer in commercial real estate banking at Bank of America in Boston, Mass. My husband and I celebrated our son’s first birthday this September! Congratulations to Tierney Gallagher Fallon, Corey Fallon and their daughter Clara (age 3) in welcoming baby Samuel to their family in July! And lastly, congratulations to Erika (Peters) Kalanish ’12 ’13G, who wanted to share exciting news about her growing family! “Ryan Kalanish and I are overjoyed to announce the birth of our fifth child, a son, Carmine, on Sept. 6, 2023. Carmine joins older brothers Franco (4) and Dutch (3) and sisters, Angela (4) and Jeana (1). Our big, happy family resides on Lake Norman in Mooresville, N.C.” ’14 Leah Paulson, leahpaulson22@ gmail.com Editor’s note: Our thanks to Mike Ronan as he steps down from the correspondent role. Good luck in all your future endeavors! Hi, everyone—Leah Paulson back at it. Gorgi Pavlov ’14 ’18G is volunteering for our 10-year reunion, which is this summer (June 6-9)! Can you believe this year marks a decade since we graduated? There is a website dedicated to the reunion at alumni.lehigh. edu/reunion, and Gorgi is on a committee of folks planning things, so please let us know if you’d like to be connected with him! Abigail Michelini was an artist-in-residence in summer 2023 for the East 40—40 acres of community garden, woods and walking paths on Northampton Community College’s campus. Her tenure as artist-in-residence resulted in a public-facing poetry walk. If you are still located in the Lehigh Valley, the walk can be found on NCC’s campus in Bethlehem (just 15 minutes from Lehigh’s campus)! If you are not nearby, you can also find a digital expression of the walk on Abigail’s website: abigailmichelini.com. Abigail also just gave a TEDx Talk on listening across the American political divide. Speaking of TEDx Talks, a fellow Lehigh grad shared with me another TEDx Talk presented by Megan Pulliam about repowering all coal plants with clean energy by 2050. If you Google Megan and Abigail’s names + TEDx Talk, you can listen for yourselves! I always love to hear from you, so please reach out to me anytime at leahpaulson22@ gmail.com with updates on what you’ve got going on. I hope to see many of you this summer! ’15 Kerry Mallett, kerryamallett@ gmail.com I hope that the end of 2023 treated everyone well! In classmate news, Abby Farrell married Adam Goldstein ’16 in her parent’s backyard in Oregon surrounded by many Mountain Hawks. Courtney Thier bought a condo in Austin, Texas, and started a new job as a product manager for Resideo. She oversees all product and UX development for connecting smart thermostats to utility and energy programs across the United States. Lauren (Purdom) Zellner had her first baby and future Lehigh alum on March 17, 2023. In other news, planning has started for our 10-year reunion in 2025! If you want to get involved, email me at kerryamallett@gmail.com, and make sure to follow our class reunion account on Instagram @lehigh15reunion. ’16 Rachel Sholder, rachelsholder@ gmail.com Rachael Miller married Marty Henderek ’14 on Nov. 18, 2023, in Maplewood, N.J., surrounded by many fellow Lehigh friends and family members. The couple met after their Lehigh days but bonded over shared Lehigh stories. Abigail Pires and Kyle Lechner ’14, both student-athletes (swimming and football), got married in July 2022. They met at Syncarpha Capital, a renewable energy company in NYC and currently reside in West Palm Beach, Fla. ’17 Robert Hillman, robert.j.hillman1@ gmail.com Hello, Class of ’17! We have some great news to share with everyone! Congratulations to Nick Bancroft and Emily Beaman, who got married in September in Kiawah Island, S.C. They had a ceremony full of Lehigh alumni. Nick comes from a big Lehigh family, including Nick’s parents, Ned Bancroft ’85 and Bonnie (Winokur) Bancroft ’85, as well as Nick’s brothers, Corey ’20 and Auggie ’25. In addition to that, congratulations to Spencer Taylor and his wife, Jessica! These two celebrated their wedding in Boston, Mass., in September. Spencer and I were two-thirds of a triple dorm room in Dravo House our freshman year.
