He and wife, Tab, have been married for 10 years and have two daughters, Marlo (8) and Leah (4). ’98 Gregory Kuklinski, gjk4@alum.lehigh. edu It was great to see many of you at the Le-Laf football game. Although we did not finish on a winning note, it was still fun to catch up with everyone and enjoy the beautiful weather. This year at tailgates, it was great to see Eric Kolasa, Brian Fronapfel, Alan Fornwalt and son Ben ’27, Carolyn Klimas, Chuck Turner ’99, Andy Franco ’99, Craig Blizard ’97, Amber Rodzik ’01, Constantine Patmanidis ’23 and David Tauman ’23. Next year, the 160th annual game will again be held at Goodman Stadium, and I am going to plan a Class of 1998 tailgate. Save the date for Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024! Maurice Gisler noted that he successfully launched the Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer as model responsible/vehicle chief engineer. He proudly shepherded this all-new full-size SUV vehicle program from concept inception: interfacing with studio artist drawings, to sculpted clay, through benchmarking, requirements setting, architecture creation, engineering design, prototype, validation testing and full series production. Over 500 engineers contributed to this great achievement, and he was honored to lead the team to launch as well as second-model-year enhancements. Please continue to share your news. Stay tuned to the FB page and your email for more updates on our 25th reunion! Class of 1998 Facebook Page: facebook.com/groups/ Lehigh98/ My Lehigh (Class of 1998): mylehigh.lehigh.edu ’99 Karen (Smith) Fischer, kms5lehigh@gmail.com Hello, Class of 1999! While it may seem like we were all just 25 years old—or is that just me?—it is unbelievably time to celebrate our 25th reunion! Your reunion committee has been hard at work planning some fun activities for our class to enjoy during reunion weekend, June 6-9, 2024. We’ll have a South Side bar tour on Friday night, including a stop at the Tally-Ho, as well as some great new places. On Saturday night, we’ll have our class get-together at Brew Works, with appetizers and drinks. All of the details on Reunion and registration will be available at alumni. lehigh.edu/reunion. Our 25th promises to be a great opportunity to reconnect with our classmates and to see all of the amazing changes at Lehigh. I’ll be there—and I hope to catch up with many of you! All the best! ’00 Corina Fisher, (732) 688-3671 (C); corina_fisher@yahoo.com ’01 Abby Dawes Columbo, abbywdawes@gmail.com I recently attended the Providence College vs. Lehigh men’s basketball game with my son, Will (11). We proudly wore brown and white and made it onto the Jumbotron cheering on our Mountain Hawks. It took me a minute to recognize that the middle-aged woman on the screen was … me! As my kids get older, I find myself looking for ways to share Lehigh with them. This quarter, we have several classmates to celebrate for taking on new career and life opportunities! Congratulations to the following classmates: Mered Parnes for his appointment to director of Pediatric Movement Disorders Clinic, a section of pediatric neurology and developmental neuroscience at Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine. Melissa (Garofalo) Westbrook for her new role as a remote senior consultant for Houston-based SIS-TECH. Walker Conolly for his new role as data risk and privacy director at PWC after a short career break as a full-time dad and part-time adventurer exploring the wonders of Colorado. Jessica Meyer Sullivan for her new role as senior vice president at BNY Mellon after a short career break as a full-time mom and Girls on the Run coach. If you are ever looking for a fabulous small-batch, artisan-made gift, head on over to themalabarco.com and shop classmate Orlene (Valy) Paxson’s collection at the Malabar Collective. He and his wife, Marie, have three children, Anthony and twins Lidia and Vincent. They lived in Pennsylvania until they moved to Colorado in 2017. Randy is currently working as an engineer for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory remote branch. This year, I also reconnected with Jen (Wasserman) McLaughlin. She said that, while following graduation she was the assistant to the CFO of Virgin Records, she has spent essentially her entire career at Tiffany & Company in the advertising and marketing areas. Jen currently serves as director, marketing production. Married in 2009, she and her husband live in Princeton, N.J., with their daughter, Emma (8), and son, Tyler (6).
