Alumni Bulletin-Fall-Wtr25

CLASS NOTES | FALL/WINTER 2025 | 51 More news from Carothers … My freshman roommate, Diane Weibel, is literally back in the saddle. It has been 41 years since she stepped into the horseback riding show ring, and Diane recently competed in The Ridge at Riverview show jumping event in North Jersey. She and her horse won several ribbons, including Reserve Champion. Exciting new career options at this point? Just ask Robin (Shatto) Labiak, who is investing in a few independent films with her childhood best friend. Robin has already co-produced two films, a feature-length horror flick called “Slapface” and the other shown at Cannes, which won Best Original Song in the diversity shorts section. Still enjoying her recent career pivot to business development is Liza Kahn-Garber, who is at CohnReznick. Audit, tax and advisory services are her specialty, so reach out if you need anything. Liza’s son Mason just graduated from University of Michigan and is headed to San Francisco to work for BlackRock. In other news, Meighan Meeker is enjoying life in Denver and planning events for the Lehigh in Colorado alumni group. Roger Tashjian is spending time at his home at the Jersey shore, in Lavallette, right down the street from Amy (Sugarman) Zuckerman. Last winter, Sean Pitzer and I were at Stabler Arena for the ceremony to honor the 1985 men’s basketball team for their East Coast Conference Championship 40 years ago. So exciting to see Daren Queenan and Mike Polaha ’87, along with teammates Tim Russell, Bill Cheslock, Joe McGarvey and others. Last fall, the Apha Phis were hosted by Lisa (Seminski) Mosca at her Milan, Italy, home. Those along for the adventure: Liz (Carr) Murphy, Sally (Hood) Luke ’89, Linda (Harkrader) Powers, Caroline (Kelly) Lonergan, Kim Bulkley Abt ’87, Weld Royal and Leslie Howard, who was kind enough to provide this dispatch. Lots of weddings to report! Amy (Kantrowitz) Frei and husband Chuck celebrated their son Alex who was married last April 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
