FALL/WINTER 2025 | 35 One of my favorite Lehigh traditions is the Lehigh-Lafayette Rivalry—150-plus years strong and still bringing out the very best of Lehigh spirit. Every fall, alumni from across the country gather in restaurants, living rooms and at the game to cheer on the Brown and White. This year, more than 60 alumni chapters hosted telecast parties from coast to coast, turning cities big and small into pockets of Lehigh pride. Seeing generations of Lehigh graduates come together, whether they graduated last spring or 60 years ago, reminds me of the breadth and strength of our alumni community, and what’s possible when we all share the same pride and purpose. Moments like these capture something essential about Lehigh: our ability to stay connected, no matter where life takes us. And that idea—meeting our alumni where they are—has become the guiding theme of my work as assistant vice president for Alumni Relations. That phrase has shaped my nine years at Lehigh, whether connecting with volunteers from our many alumni networks, professional alliances and mentorship groups; planning Reunion celebrations for classes from the 5th to the 65th milestone; or joining alumni at regional gatherings from Bethlehem to the West Coast. Every conversation reminds me that the Lehigh experience doesn’t end when you leave campus. It grows and evolves, just like you do. Now, with the Future Makers plan charting a bold path forward for our university, this idea feels more important than ever. Our alumni community plays a vital role in that vision by sharing expertise, mentoring students, building connections and shaping what Lehigh becomes next. In Alumni Relations, we’re focused on creating more ways for you to engage meaningfully with that future, no matter your stage of life or where you call home. Whether you’re a young alum looking for friends in a new city, a professional seeking your next role, an intellectual looking for an academic fix or an avid volunteer or philanthropist, our team is here to help you find your place in the Lehigh story and your own points of pride. I’m deeply grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received in this new role, and for the many ways you already make Lehigh proud. I look forward to meeting you—wherever you are—and hearing how we can make your alumni experience even more meaningful. ALUMNI EVENTS All alumni, parents and friends are welcome.
