One of my proudest accomplishments at Lehigh so far is stepping out of my comfort zone and participating in the Mountaintop Summer Experience Program. In this program, I joined a research group where we focused on learning the different methods of recycling printed circuit boards found in computers. We gave weekly presentations and participated in a press conference and research expo. This program gave me the opportunity to gain valuable skills, such as how to conduct literature research, as well as presentation skills through the many presentations my group gave. I value this experience and will look back on it for a very long time. Lehigh’s strategic plan, Inspiring the Future Makers, is built upon the notion that “The way forward is not yet defined. The future is ours for the making.” How do you intend to make your mark on campus and beyond? To make my mark on campus and beyond, I plan to take leadership roles in clubs and activities, as well as continue doing research and making significant contributions to the research community. Taking leadership roles will inspire me to better the Lehigh community by making effective decisions that will aid in transforming the community into a place where everyone will love to be. I hope to also inspire others to make their mark on campus as well. Lehigh offers many opportunities to grow your professional career and make a change in the community. Through these opportunities, Lehigh has supported me in my journey toward my professional career. A message from Gabriela: Thank you for your generous gift. Scholarships and financial aid opportunities have made a huge impact on my life. Growing up, I did not know whether I’d be able to attend college due to the financial situation of my family. By receiving scholarships and financial aid, I can focus on continuing my education and paving my path for my future. Having the opportunity to continue learning every day has been incredible, and I cherish it deeply. Thank you again. Fun Fact: I’ve always loved all types of music.
